The body panels have been mocked up with a jig so they will be straight. I have braced the body so it is reasonably straight as well. It will need final touches once I get ready to bolt it to the new frame.

And no the mounting locations for the motor are not the same. It will be mounted front to back. It will have an automatic of some kind.... havent decided for sure which yet. I may decide to run a Lenco or Liberty also.

It will still obviously be the 4G63 running a GT4202 or something similair. It will run Methanol (and Nitrous eventually). The test motor is a decently built one that I plan to shift at around 10.5k. Using a 3 speed mockup design I expect the car to top out around 180-200.

There is still a lot of work to do obviously. The frame is almost complete but I still need to make mounting points for the engine, tranny, etc... I have access to a CNC brake, shear, etc,etc for all the tin work so the interior wont be tough. But this is a serious learning curve for me to learn all the new old school stuff that Im not used to... even the brakes took research

Anyways Ill post some more pics tomorrow or the next day.

Oh and as far as the series I will run....

Yes next year it will mainly be testing and tuning it. Ive never driven a fast RWD car moreless this damned thing so it will need some time to get worked it but I will make it to a few national event for sure next year. The shootout is garunteed (sp?). I am thinking one of the Nopi events would be fun... havent decided for sure yet. The car will be certified for 7.50 seconds or quicker from SFI and I will be licensed to run it so I can enter any sanctioned event. It will have all safety requirements.

And dont worry about me giving up on it I have engineered the car to the point where it is just plug and play... just takes time and I love alchohol so that adds to the time till completion. Money is also a factor... as you can guess it gets pricey quick.

I will keep everyone informed on whats new with the car.

I am guessing it will drive out of the shop within two months. I still need lots and lots of work and, like I said earlier, I love Vodka.

<--------one confused dude.

y did u guys ruin a prefect evo. u obv. only needed a few parts that im sure u could have bought from somewhere else without hacking up the evo. and dont get me wrong, this is awesome but u realize its not an evo anymore, well to me its not. its a drag car with an evo body. well to each there own i guess, good luck and i am subscribing to this buildup.
