So pathetic

You could wait until another company makes a stock like turbo better than the 20g LT. Oh, no wait that would be stealing, unethical, and dishonest. Better get that 20g, Dave will be happy.

Dave:

As I said previous I was NOT asserting intelectual property rights to anything. BUT, you claim in YOUR post that you not only threatened to, but then followed through with copying the part. (And you are PROUD of it! WOW!) No one at PERRIN accused you of anything, you accused YOU. Ultimately, that isn't the point. The point is the mindset and the ethical ramifications now asserted by Buschur surrounding the whole industry.

As many here have mentioned YOU are wholely and solely against copying, from overseas etc. I am too. It cuts into the profitability of both of our companies, as well as any other legitimate business operating in the performance aftermarket within the United States. We only purchase US metals, fasteners, etc, employ US workers etc. to help protect this country etc. But this is worse. You are now willing to scream from the rooftops that if any other mfr. refuses to sell directly to you, then watch out you will just copy it. That stinks. And regardless of how you now feel or your previous relationships with complimentary companies, all of us should be on alert regarding Buschur. This goes far beyond friendly competition and you have made it adversarial. That is sincerely unfortunate for anyone (including the consumer.) Lets hope for the other companies (as well as the balance of my product line) that you stop with the lesson learned here.

To call me foolish and react from a gut reaction is simply childish. One of our largest distributors in the NE also contacted you to offer you the controllers through them. You also gave them the proverbial finger. We NEVER asserted any threats NOT to carry our products and promote them. ONLY that we didn't offer them directly. Many would say the admission and promotion of the blatant copy is foolish. I would agree with them.

Regardless of your assertion that this is essentially our first rodeo must come from lack of education. I founded our company in 1996. We have and will continue to support this community both online and in person. Having owned several EVO's myself I can attest to the pleasure of driving and modding the car. Admittedly, no 8 sec passes under my belt in those cars, but that can't be taken as a lack of enthusiasm or support for the car or the community. Our products are offered through our dealer network and have been installed on countless EVO's. Admittedly, you may have sold more of a competing product, but to say we are an unknown is simply ludicrous.

On our PWI-1 water/meth kit. Even your faithful supporter Al of DynoFlash has reported to you and MANY others about the features, benefits, safety, and power. That comment is simply from spite not from true competitive facts. See Al for more information if needed, since you refuse to take it from us. That system is protected and thus unlikely to be copied by the likes of you or any other mfr. for many years!

Thanks again members for showing your support as well as constructive criticisms of PERRIN. We will continue to listen and develop exciting products for your vehicles!

Comments? Feel free to direct them to me! Always happy to help a fellow enthusiast.

Sorry for any confusion! Those links go to both the EVO Turbo Accessories and the Controller itself.

I apologize for not posting that earlier! Thanks for asking!

It just shows what Buschur will do to get what they want. Pretty sad though considering that now Perrin will probably lose business due to that fact that Buschur bashed them on the forums and now many sackriders won't like Perrin because of what Buschur said.

I have to agree with you on that one. This is the first post I have EVER seen perrin make, and he only did it to defend himself. Not to mention the alky kit is made by Aquamist and is really only branded by perrin.

Personally, I dont really care if you copied the design or not. I know that you make quality parts and you have probably done more for the Evo community than any other vender.

At least he admitted that he copied the part. It's not right, but I can't think of ANY other company that would go out of thier way to TRY to sell the part first and THEN decide to produce their own based on the same design.

Everyone else would just buy a part secretly and reproduce it with thier name on it.

It is kind of silly, but very entertaining. Made the day at work go by faster.
