wickedwhtMR: Not the issue. Issue is Dave says "I copied it". PERRIN never said that. Dave did. It is the ethics behind it. Plus he obivously liked our design and version. That is why he wanted to purchase it. Just making sure you are on the same page! Thanks for the post!

taking someone's idea and improving and remarketing is a reality in free capitalism. i dont see a problem with that, especially if one company did not copyright it.

also no one really questions buschur's product, maybe this mbc is even alil better then perrin, who knows....

the only thing that bothers alot of people is how hot headed buschur is about people using his design yet he did it himself openly. very hypocritical.

dudical26: Yes and no. We do NOT hide that Aquamist makes the system. We went to the best in the biz. Told them what we wanted and over a year of R&D went into the design changes and perfection. If you don't believe me ask Richard at aquamist. He is a great resource for this an most other communities. Great company and we are PROUD to be a part of their offerings! (Don't forget, our kit doesn't replicate any other Aquamist product.)

Thanks!

HAHAHAHAHA 4BANGR, THAT IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you man.

I should have known that what I bought was copied from someone else first!

So, Perrin, did you buy it directly from Joe P first or atleast give him a chance to sell you one like I did you?! hahahahaha

Jim P, you speak of ******** alot, is it an addiction you have? Special interest taste/delicacy? haha

BTW, STOP CALLING US FOR THESE BOOST CONTOLLERS. We don't have the dual stage controller done yet. The solenoid I am using is going to take about 6 weeks to have built again.

The manual controller, inline, will be another few weeks too as they all have to go through anodizing.

Thanks for the links to the Perrin, now I can be off the hook, as it is plain to see ours is nicer

When i was first introduced to the business maket I saw some things that really pissed me off, the major being that other stores were taking the designs from my stores and using them on their own, and to top it off they use the same deals that we came up with over 10 years ago to get new customers in the door. There isn't a damn thing that we can do about it when somebody copies an idea and uses it as their own, its a free country, and a competitive market.

I say bravo to David Buschur, he not only is a great tuner and car builder, he also has great business skill in a tough car/parts market.

Short version:
DB: There is a cool boost controller that perrin won't sell us, so I am going to copy it.

Perrin: Hey your ripping off our boost controller.

DB: Yeah, that's what I said.

Thx for the cliff notes!

BTW I have no problem with what Dave did!

BTW I just called Perrin about another issue I was having with one of their parts. Spoke to John, he was great and very helpful. Just wanted to clear up the whole nutswinging thing (I'll leave that to Jim).
