True, an EVO will never 'grow up' to be a ZO6, not in public perception, not in resale value, no matter what ETs it runs. I suppose if a ZO6 buyer wanted an EVO, he/she would have just bought like 3 of them. LOL

I love chevys, i have a 59 corvette and a 63 grandsport thats in the process of being built (4years now). I am not hating on the new zo6, i love them, but when i can have a evo for HALF PRICE, and out perform it in drag, autocross, road course, gas mileage...Why wouldnt you.
If your a middle aged having a mid life crises looking to impress a young female then the vette is your choice, even then you can only fit one women, where the evo fits 4 snug

Because the world is far more heavily populated with persons who place value on status and image than Sunday drag racers. It's just reality. Otherwise, we'd all be driving hopped up Ford Pintos, wearing Timex watches, and buying our clothes from thrift stores.

Ok, but those who hang out in video arcades probably say the same thing. It's impossible to 'lose' when one isn't interested in playing games, and I doubt owners of ZO6s, Ferraris, and other cars really care what a 4-door import does at the drags. It's just reality.

Morgan Performance Fab recently installed dual GT35Rs on one, and it is my understanding that mildly tuned (12 psi), it will break 315 series rubber loose at 90 mph . . .

I never in my entire life wanted out of something so bad before as I did when he got into it. I litterally put my foot on his dash board and invented oh **** handles while hoping he could keep it under control. I can't put into words what that car feels like.... The tower of Terror times 6 maybe, put my nuts in my throat and was like a 250lb person just jumped on my chest.

The power band hits like sitting still at a light and getting rear ended by a Mack truck doing well over 120mph.... Thats my experiance, and will not go for another ride.... I'm good on that.

Was this Z06 a C5 or C6 TT? Big difference! Either way, a very impressive feat.

LOL I couldn't remember the specifics, and I didn't want to get caught telling fish tales, so I erred conservatively.

But hopefully without any 'foot severing' cables . . .

Yeah, but they are not that happy when you pull on the on the autobahn. Their ego's suffer because they think they have the fastest car around.

I agree, they all like to get together and talk about where CAR AND DRIVER ranked there car over a round of golf on the back nine!

I saw one of those $130K GT40's the other day, in reality if the owner was "low" enough to race on the strip I would perhaps win. But that would never happen and the worst thing about it is as the car changed lanes in front of me a rock from his tire flew up and hit my car

IHUNTV8, your run was on 93 unleaded right, not e85?

Of course it was on 93 octane, it's said that atleast 50 times in the last 11 pages.
