Hi Dan , probably not what you want to hear but if you have some form of electronic boost control can you pull a bit of boost pressure out of it in the ranges it surges and let it ramp up higher up the engines rev range ? Granted it won't fix the problem but it would make it usable .

I understand Geoff has a lot on his plate ATM , I believe that 0.78 A/R GT32 ? housing is possibly a little small for the turbine and its exhaust throughput and other TS T3 flanged housings are thin on the ground .
I guess we are all really sweating on Garrett producing that 1.06 A/R TS GT35 turbine housing .

Cheers A .

Dan I have the exact same problem with my forge rs valve, if I put the stiffest spring in it. The car will idle up and down just like yours, (in the vid) and sometimes stall out.

If I put the medium spring in, it is much better. I never tried the lightest spring yet as I am not sure if it will hold the boost..

Your bov is a bit different than mine. I have this one

I have the same problem when making the valve stiffer like you do. My A/F goes all over the place at idle.
Anyone know why this happens?

i have the forge evo 15 diverter valve and my car will only run and will only idle with the blue spring. with any other spring it will run like crap and the idle will go up and down and it will stall all the time. but it does run great with the blue spring.

or you can just save up and upgrade to AEM ems and ditch the stupid maf

To possibly save you some headache over this blow-off valve, just remove the valve completely and blank off the outlets and inlets. I ran my car for 4 years at 1.5-1.7 bar with no blow off valve and the turbo never missed a beat. The turbo was perfectly fine when I pulled it off the car for something bigger. It was standard Evo 6 turbo.

Granted I've not tried this with my GT35.. but if I was having grief over whether my blow-off was causing issues, I'd remove it in a heartbeat and drive the car like that.

I always thought the car ran much nicer without a blow off valve. None of the part throttle stuttering and pressure releases. And quicker time back on to boost between shifts.

Hate to drag this up from the depths, but have you been able to fix the problems? Any new info/data?

i have never really read to many good things about the revolvers, is why i ask..

amazing boost response with the TS set-up
The Revolvers cams are a big part of the reason this turbo is spooling up so quickly. They produce more mid range and top end then the HKS 272/280 cams and are one of the most aggressive profiles out there. Shame they have not been for sale for a while as that was a great profile for the guys looking for maximum power, great mid range torque and 400 rpm quicker spool than the HKS cams....

bit off topic, but i think i heard something about WRC cars running a tank or something that would store the presureised air until you hit the throtttle again.

i guess something like a aquasump but for boost!

sorry Chris.

Surely this can't be true - a 2.3L strocker gives just about 500rpm...

So with Revolvers and a 2.3L strocker your looking at almost 1000rpm earlier spool...

Thats hard to believe.

Actually, it's a 5th fuel injector that dumps right into the exhaust manifold and engine management only turns it on when boost needs to be maintained.

My friend's Evo has revolvers + green... 2 bar of boost at 3900 rpm in 4th I think.

I think that is pretty standard spool for monsieur green.

I have a tendency to believe you will get back more than 500 rpm for a stroker.

EvoDan what is the scoop? You got the whole world biting their nails waiting for ya! Good luck.
