Also be interesting if the owners could post up their charts and their mods. How many times has someone contradicted someone 'testing' and showing their results, only to hear that the power was made or lost somewhere else. Same car, same day is better comparison, but it would be interesting to see the mod lists.
It was me. Not real happy. The JUN272's. I didn't see the other car there with the green and S1's.

Tuner is Lucas English.

I only made 373whp, that's with a Green, AEM meth (50/50 mix, Lucas told me fi we go 100% and more of it, I could probably get 420whp)...not running much meth at all, tank went down 2" in a month of driving LOL. Other mods: ported/coated exhaust mani and o2, Supertech duals and Ti's, bent/crimped Espelir exhaust (changing to 80mm Trust Ti-R), ETS 3" FMIC and UICP, Nisei LICP, Sun HyperForce, DC 3" DP/test pipe. I think that's it. They couldn't get a clean rpm signal on my car, so charts/torque numbers mean nothing, I wont post them...lucas was revving to 8k on my car and the dyno was only showing 6500rpms.
Dynojet.

Hi all , not an Evo owner yet but somewhere down the track - white 6 .

I have lots on info on Garrett turbos but know very little about Mitsy or this FP Green turbo .

Just to confirm I gather this Green thing is a direct replacement twin scroll reverse rotation turbo like the std ones . I assume it must use modified turbine and compressor housings ie with larger wheels ?

I'm surprised these are not ball bearing turbos and now not sure if the std turbos are . I think someone has mentioned that a BB version is availabe from someone in England so that would surely be a more durable version .

Cheers and thanks , A .

Yes, the Green has a larger tubine wheel, same compressor wheel as the Stocker and uses the IX compressor housing. Non-ball bearing, but company in England will convert it for you.

Thanks for that - interesting . Do we know which turbine it uses and if its made out of some exotic material ie the Titanium alloy ?

It sounds like this conversion costs little spool but opens up the hot side and lets the engine breath out . I'd reckon that with head mods (valves/porting) and mild cams it should give it a healthy kick in the ribs .
Do people over there bother to extrude hone the std manifold/turbine housing/dump pipe and does that make a worthwhile difference ?

Lastly I think I did see somewhere pics of the two different kinds of standard TS twin gate outlets - sort of mirrored "D" vs two round holes . Has anyone tried to hi flow these areas to keep the turbine inlet pressure down a bit ?

I'm always interested in making the best of what the factory supplies and having things look std is a bonus . This could be a case of making all the passages flow a little better and take maximum advantage of the twin scrolling for response and mid range punch these 4g63's are said to be good for .
I'm not too keen on bush plate turbos particularly in high boost use because with Garretts anyway the thrust bearing tends to give in easily .

The one thing I don't understand with Evo modifiers is why not many (if any) go for a multi throttle inlet manifold ? Would it be that hard to graft say the Pulsar GTiR's quad throttle inlet system in and get a bit more dynamic CR happening ?

Sorry to go OT , cheers Adrian .

- What is your reasoning for not wanting staggered cam profiles?

GSC S1s are:

Intake 268 Duration 10.50mm peak lift, 107 degree Centerline
Exhaust 268 Duration 10.50mm Peak Lift, 113 degree Centerline.

Shame on you 9sec9, the Forced Performance EvoGreen is configured with a larger than stock 5-bladed compressor wheel which is machined out of billet aluminum on a 5-axis CNC mill. It is the same compressor wheel used in FP's earlier White Rabbit turbo.

You're spending way too much time making your son's car go fast. LOL

Aside from the larger, billet aluminum comp wheel, the Green uses a larger than stock Mitsu Inconel turbine wheel. Forced Performance then cuts the turbine housing internally to accommodate the higher inertia, but lower backpressure turbine wheel.

There are some further reductions in backpressure to be had by gasket matching the turbine housing inlet and recontouring the turbine housing outlet. thus deshrouding the exducer. Search for some pictures on the excellent porting work that, 9sec9, did on his son's EvoGreen turbine housing.

EDIT: Actually, you can have the Green fitted with any one of the three 16G turbine housings. Take your pick from either the most widely used 10.5, the 9.8 or the 9.0 cm housings. I had a 10.5 single flapper originally, but just changed it out to a 9.0 dual flapper.

hey what did you search for on Ebay exactly...i dont want a knock off how did you get such a deal!

20G vs 16G, but with larger turbine wheel is what I should have said. Thanks sparky. Heres a pic of your referenced ported turbine housing.

Added one more for posterities sake.
