That's what a Fields harness is for.

First of all I think it's great that tuners as big as Vishnu and Buschur individually respond to our post. I hate it when some idiot with a keyboard thinks he knows more than a proffesional(s)
in their field that they have been in for at least 10 years each I'm sure. As for the exhaust I am more of a budget minded individual when it comes to my aftermarket parts and like to get the best bang for my buck since it cost so much to mod these cars anyway. I think that the vendors on this board each serve their own purpose and I am just glad that they even respond to our posts. As for the turbo kit I am very excited. I don't have the 6k to spend on a HKS kit but I do have the $2500 to spend on the Buschur kit and I am very excited. David, what about the Apex-i power fc that will be out for the Evo this year. Would you still preffer the AEM over this unit and why?

You know Dave its funny you bring that up. I just got done talking about the same thing on DSMTuners. You can read it here

For all of you guys that are new to the DSM market. Please realize that guys like Dave have been going fast for years. He knows the way to do it the cheapest, the most efficient, and have it hold up to abuse. These JDM companies are over priced and over hyped and rarely deliver for even twice the cost. Listen to the right people and you can save yourself so much time and money. It will also give you a much better perspective when you aren’t wasting money doing things twice

PS Dave Im glad to see you arent going to turn this one into a complete race car. I think these guys would go nuts if you made a RWD EVO8 with a glide

Brian at Ultimate Performance has a couple very talented installers working for him. They have done extensive work on my '91 Eclipse GSX, my '98 A4 turbo, my Evo, and a couple of other cars here and there. I'm always pleased with the results. They treat my car like I would. (Sometimes they take as long as I would too, but hey...)

AvatarOfWar mentioned that a Mach V staffer "blew him off." I am VERY sorry. I had comments from more than one customer about a particular Mach V person that worked the booth, and I do apologize to anyone who got less than perfect customer service.

And now back to our regularly-scheduled topic...

If you are in the DC vicinity and want to see the Buschur parts in person, come by our place. Our Evo has just about all the currently-available Buschur mods on it, and I'll be happy to open the hood and give you the tour. If I have time, I'll be glad to take you for a little ride.

I've been selling Buschur Racing parts for over five years, and I stick with them because of the reasons many of the posters above have talked about. Good product, good value, track tested.

Dave.....If I can call you Dave. Im sold....can I put team stickers on my car and get a sponsorship? No? Damn. Worth a shot. You said in the first page of posts something about the AEM electronics system. Possible to use others? Greddy? Not familiar with much of it, dont even have the car yet, but.....Im definitely listening when someone says 500 horsepower. Im wondering about reliability. Of course, driving a 500 pony car everyday, in that state of tune would be dumb on my part-but it could be tamed down to last longer, no?

Sorry guys, been really busy on the EVO and a few other projects.

FMIC and cams, are they good for 50-60 hp together. I would say they will be close to the 50 hp mark. I know quite a few guys that have changed cams alone already and have seen 30 hp at the wheels from just that.

I have no experience with the TODA stroker kit. I have stroked quite a few 4g63's here. To be honest they do not work out good, stick with the 2.0.

3" MAS pipe we make, is it the same as the HKS RS Suction Kit? I have no idea, never seen it or heard of it. Our Pipe is madrel bent stainless, you can get it in gloss black powder coat or polished stainless. It goes between the turbo and MAS, it comes with the clamps and two custom couplings.

Exede VS. AFC. You mentioned you wanted the Exede because you wanted to take it out when you went to the dealer. If you use the proper supplied connectors with the AFC it can be simply unplugged from the harness and removed also.

Power FC. I am currently trying to get my hands on one of these to do some testing.

HKS V Pro. We have one of these on its way here for both the WRX and EVO.

AEM's, we have one of these on the way here also. There are two prototype boxes being built, we get one and so does one other tuner shop. This is what we would prefer to use.

500 hp on a daily driver. In my opinion you are going to need the car to run race gas to deliver 500 daily reliable horsepower. 500 hp on the street in a 3100 pound car is alot of power. You are talking about a car that can easily run the 1/4 in 10 seconds.

Hope this helps you all out,
David Buschur

Thumbs up

David,

Man great job on this one!!! I know I am kind of late on this one, but I heard it from one of my friends and I had to read to believe and yeaup David does it again. I was wondering how come you guys were so hush, hush lately. I also have almost everything you offer except the intercooler pipe and intake pipe. Even without this mods I ran a 12.65 at 108 mph!! Now with this kit I can't wait and you can bet I will get KRAZY with it, but there is only one concern. Will your 3" down pipe fit this setup? Are you also in the works of making an o2 housing?

Thanks and keep up the great work!!!!

I was going to get the Vishnu stuff but now I am going to wait until something like the AEM is ready. I think the AEM is the way to go or at least wait for 6 months until you know where each vendor ends up with there products and what problems it has.

Dave, I'd have no problem running race gas for 500 horses.. I personally decided to go with the Greddy E-Manage, being as I can use the profec E01 as a boost controller and in car tuner for the e-manage computer, as well as hook it up to the lap-top to tune it also. I saw you mentioned earlier or in another post, stroking a 4g63 isn't a good idea. Care to elaborate on why it didn't work out well? You said stick with the 2.0...I can assume good parts being put together to yield a tough 2.0 block would help, no?

I am very happy to see that you are developing a kit to use a cast manifold instead of a header. Headers never hold up in these aplications. I am aslo extremely happy that you are using the pte stuff. Why anyone would ever pay 5k for a 3037 kit is way beyond my way of thinking. I have NEVER seen a 3037 outperform a 50 trim on pump gas, and i doubt i ever will. The gt40 56 trim is also turning out to be wicked. I too am curious about the thrust bearings on these cars so i am sporting the tsi for another year or so so i can see what develops. Good luck, but i know the kits will sell well. Guess i'm gonna need some more goodies to keep up with these evos with upgraded turbos!

Is this intercooler bar and plate or the typical fin styled ones like the stock intercooler. I just hate the fins cause they bend so easily and after a while it starts to look rediculous.

Their site says it's bar and plate. Just like AMS, just like Pruven, Just like PWR.... only Buschur's is more affordable

I'd also like to get an update on the turbo kit availability!!!
