I bought my evo about 3 years ago, and it had 22k miles on it at the time. Every oil change (about 3k to 3.5k miles) was performed using Mobil 1 10W30 synthetic oil and Mobil 1 M1-108/M1-110 oil filters. 3 years and almost 60k miles later (total vehicle mileage now is 77.3k), I have had 0 problems.

I think I'll continue to use Mobil 1 oil and their filters...thanks.

6200 miles wow..it would take me a year to put that many miles on my car...

test is worthless

thickness dont mean much when your talking about different material. Sorry but just cutting into it and looking at it is not a scientific evaluation of its functin at all PERIOD!!!!!1

I never claimed to be a scientist, nor did I claim that our method was the end-all, be-all. I simply posted my findings, and relayed information that was given to me by my old customers, who being mechanics themselves, as well as weekend dirt track/strip racers, probably know a thing or two about what works.
