Forced Performance Evo Red Turbo data
I strongly believe we will see 135mph+ traps and 9sec passes from this turbo with the right setups.
Remember that the spool up characteristics shown on 9sec9's dyno graph will NOT be representative of the Red's usual spool up characteristics because 9sec9 was using a very massaged IndyEvo V2+ manifold that was designed to move the power band up. Their estimates was that the power band was moved 750 RPM to the right due to that manifold.
Trent (BR employee) is running a manifold more similar to the usual Evo. When his graphs get posted, they will be useful to compare the effect of a stock manifold versus the trick IndyEvo part, but it is fair to assume that the spool up will be substantially earlier.

Oh I certainly don't take 9sec9's curves as those for a bolt-on car. Aside form the manifold thing, that car is a total work of art down to every nut and bolt - beautiful build.
Yes I do agree that the stock intake manifold would likely drop teh spool down a few hundred rpms - I also doubt that simple bolt on cars would breathe as well in general at high rpms too.
That, and that sweet momma curve is likely the result of much tuning.
Nonetheless, the general shape and points of intersection are quite encouraging - looks like the Red will spool a little late but I'm thinking it might be possible to get a very nice, linear curve that just builds and builds using smart MIVEC tuning to smooth the onset of spool - and the way the torque curve lifts right into the power curve is also sa-weet!
Essentially, I'm thinking it could end up being quite a streetable/trackable setup - maybe not so much instantaneous kick of a white or a green down low as opposed to a nice, progressive well of power that just keeps building progressively (that's the key thing that I'm all horny about here - the progression of the curves) right up until redline.
Pure speculation of course - but its that power under the curve that I'm liking nonetheless. Maybe not quite ideal for AutoX but I think it could be pretty exciting on the street and for circuit work with power delivery like that - very very strong and linear in the 4000 and up range, which is where the rpms usually sit on track for me.

If you plan to run E85 or 116-octane race gas, you'll want 1,000's for sure, and maybe 1,200's if you have a stock fuel pump and dreams of 500whp.
You need to read more of this thread....guy, this same car with nearly the same mods with the green in place made 80-90awho less than with the red IN 100 DEGREE soppy ***** humidity!! The Green dyno was done in 60-70 temps. I bet it makes 560+ on BR's MD on a balmy 65 degree day with what it came to the dyno with the other day, no changes.
I haven't even come close to catching up on all of my reading since I've been on the road for the last 2 days. Now I'm home and stareing at tons of data to load to the database. A new office waiting to be moved in to. Data Circuits and telephone system to be moved. Desks, computers, faxes, etc to be moved. Very important things were dropped to make these last mods and tests. Now, it's back to reality. First of all, our Green tests were made with outside temps in the 40's and inside temps 50's with Intake air temp at 61 degrees. At that temp and WAY less humidity, we peaked our whp at 445 and wtq at 513. With the RED, the intake temps registered 107 to 111 degrees and humidity much higher. I agreed with David not to do what ifs, etc, so I won't. I will say that we had some of the pulls log at least 539.5 whp, I saw the numbers. Those smarter than me can do the math as far as temps/humidity and the star alignments. On 443 whp, we ran the 10.61 at 130.4x and the car had much better than that still in it. I'm just hoping for some good, competitive runs with the new setup. I'm almost more excited about getting to read the logs of the run, since we're now using a different intake and radiator. It's all just talk though until we make the runs.

Congratulations with your new results David, Indy, FP and You(Tom), you had a very powerfull tag team. These new numbers shows your dedication and team effort. I saw your car picture's and everything looks great. Good lock with the project. 9s at next corner
Thanks

Thanks so much Javier. You're a gentleman and a true racer yourself. I really look forward to meeting you someday. I would rather it be over a cerveza and ceviche. I think 9's are just around the corner for you too. Good luck and keep up the incredible results. Maybe we can share ideas someday, YOU FIRST.

Maybe this bring you some ideas?
