Exactly what I was about to say. The extra flow is certainly there, how can you compare a 50lb/min turbo to a 60?

500 with a Green?!? if you make that im sure you will be breaking some sort of record. if you make 450 on a dynojet with a Green then youve done very well. What are mods?

You need to read more of this thread....guy, this same car with nearly the same mods with the green in place made 80-90awho less than with the red IN 100 DEGREE soppy ***** humidity!! The Green dyno was done in 60-70 temps. I bet it makes 560+ on BR's MD on a balmy 65 degree day with what it came to the dyno with the other day, no changes.

Tons of pics fo the Green, Red and White are in 9sec9's.OKIX's round 22 build thread.

I also have to admit I'm too dumb to make much of the compressor flow charts etc. but thanks for taking the time to explain them. I will surely be revisisting this post for a reread when I have some time.

What I live is dynu CURVES, not dyno power - that overlay if the Green dyno vs. the Red dyno is pretty revealing. I'm trying to figure out if the relatively late spool up of the Red, with that gorgeous ability to make power AND hold torque all the way up to 8000rpms, would be a good idea for my circuit oriented car (seeing as I'm often in the higher RPMs anyways).

At any rate, thanks for the info all - it's certainly a great help when thinking about different options and thanks a bunch for posting everything up in your own personal time.

I also curious as to what size of injectors would be needed to supply a Red!

A green hitting 500hp is not impossible. Lucas Enlgish made over 500hp on stock IX turbo. So I am sure with some magic tuning, it will be done, or already has.

DB's dyno reads much lower than alot of dynos. Also English has a built motor and everything. Not saying his numbers/times aren't incredible because they certainly are, but they're numbers that many people will have trouble replicating.

as far as i remember, his engine is rblt to a higher compression ratio.

Remember that the spool up characteristics shown on 9sec9's dyno graph will NOT be representative of the Red's usual spool up characteristics because 9sec9 was using a very massaged IndyEvo V2+ manifold that was designed to move the power band up. Their estimates was that the power band was moved 750 RPM to the right due to that manifold.

Trent (BR employee) is running a manifold more similar to the usual Evo. When his graphs get posted, they will be useful to compare the effect of a stock manifold versus the trick IndyEvo part, but it is fair to assume that the spool up will be substantially earlier.

Good memory. Lucas posted that he is running 10:1 compression and aluminum rods, as welll as a host of other goodies.

Yes his is an MD. His dyno has been called the heartbreaker....but they are excellent for load tuning. So when a car lays down 500 plus with a stock looking turbo on a Mustang Dyno, that is just awesome imo....and the red is blowing the green away past 5000rpm.

If I recall, his motor is built (higher compression), that was on a high reading dyno jet in very favorable weather, and he was on E90 with methanol mixed. On BRs dyno it wouldve hit around 430-440 I would guess.
