Forced Performance Evo Red Turbo data
jb, I think DB said his was in 4th also. That's why I mentioned in an earlier post that our RED would be one of the SLOWEST spooling RED's, mainly because of the modifications we made to the manifold. Trent's spoolup and ours appears to cross each other at 4500 RPMS. If that holds true, for our purposes, we actually gave up nothing to gain the topend of the manifold. Indy and I were talking a few minutes ago about the new V0 and it could really be a great street combo with the Red, provided it improves the low end/high velocity area and gives more uptop too. Can't wait to see it get tested myself.
The Red has already gone 10's on pump gas, Trent ran 10.7 at 129 last week.
I was thinking the V1 would be the best intake manifold for the Red actually. I don't think you'd lose much low end at all but still gain a bunch up top.

If I recall correctly, we dyno'd our GREEN setup before the Stage 3 build (w/stage 3 head) and after using the HKS 272's. Actual gain was either 11 whp or 18 whp. That was head being the only 'performance' mod change. The engine was built, but no horsepower in just rods/pistons unless their lighter.
"Do we look like the two dumbest guys in the world to you?"
I thought it was 93 and 110 mixed? It was straight 93?
just trying to get the facts.

He ran 10.9 @ 125 on straight pump. The 10.7 @ 129 was on a 93/110 mix, but still not really tuned.
Yes went 10.97 on straight 93 with a boost leak, i fixed the boost leak and half *** retuned the car thats why i threw a couple gallons of 110 in the tank. Im no tuner and figured it was good insurance
Good point Chris. Since we're still using stock size valves, our velocity might be up a bit more than a standard Stage 3 motor. We have a fully built Stage 3 motor sitting at Buschur Racing right now. It has the std Buschur Stage 3 head with larger valves. That's our backup, unless one of the 'crew' needs it asap.
I think I want to move to Ohio......But I will need to get a job, maybe I can start a corn crop!
Back on the subject of the RED, I am planning on putting my order in as soon as my funds says "go". I am on a stock IX turbo and a BR stage IV so it should be interesting to see how it does..

I've done this in the past when testing out new strategy or cranking up on boost to 'lay someone down'.. I've gotten better results from mixing it up with an unleaded blend.
If you don't mind me asking, What was the 60ft time on that pass?
