Out of curiosity what is the wheel mat'l?
The HTA wheels are CNC machined from a 2000 series Aluminum alloy, very tough, high strength material, even at 400F. Much stronger for instance than a 6000 series alloy.

9sec9 - You keep the Red turbo, I can't think of a better home for it! We'll make LOTS more

Well, OOOOOOK, but only if you insist. It wouldn't matter anyway. Remember what Charlton Heston said " You can have my Red when you have to pry it from my cold dead hands." Besides, I haven't begun to abuse it enough. Tough times are ahead. Better send me the 'fixi-it' kit, I may need it.

What about HKS 272/272? I would assume I could benefit from some FP4rs or maybe br 272s?

Most consider the HKS272 to be pretty much "little puppy cams"if you aren't over .440 lift then you are not trying hard enough.

GSC S2's, Cosworth M2's (for the 8), Kelford 272's, FP4 (I think) all are more aggressive with lift than the HKS units...but you may need to step up to valve springs with those....

Im guessing the fp4rs would be ideal for this turbo?

How about Bosch -044 fuel pump? It is much better than Walbro 225HP.

FP 4R, GSC S2, Kel 272, or any similar would work fine. Mivec helps.

So this means that in order for an VIII to run this turbo BC272's or most 272's won't cut it? That 280's are pretty much a minimum?

We've run 4R's on stock springs tagging the 8500 RPM rev limit constantly for the last 7+ months, however a set of springs is cheap insurance. Red's gonna love cams and MIVEC, especially at lower boost levels.

I'll just come out and say it. Leave the BC272 cams in the boxes, dont bother. Same for HKS 264, HKS 272. They are all little puppy cams.

Thanks FP for the cam info. I knew the HKS 272s were mild but just wanted opinions on a good match up with this turbo. Hell I know guys that still run 272s on 35r powered cars, one of which traps 132 on the stock 81,000 mile bottom end. If I can rev the FP4rs to 8000 on stock valve springs I would be happy with that It looks as if the reds general sweet spot is between 4000-8000 rpm. Thats where I would shift that baby.

It looks just like the turbo already on your car. And there are already pics in this thread if you must see it.
