Question for all u.

I am tuned on stock turbo with meth . I have full exhaust upper and lower ic piping, intercooler, cams, and intake. If i put my stock intake box back on with the stock intake pipe and stock intercooler and piping back on as well as the stock exhaust and just leave the gsc cams in, can i drive the car at about 60 miles and hour for 4 hours to get tuned back to stock with the cams.

If i cant drive that far i can just mail my ecu to someone to flash it to stock right? Can someeone help me go back to stock...i just need a little guidance on how to do it.

Maybe get the cams taken out first? Either way it will probably run like crap but you should be able to do 60 miles off the boost.

If you're going to put everything else back to stock why not just put the stock cams in too and reflash your own ecu back to stock?

I'm sure if he wants stock cams someone on here will trade their stockers in for the gsc's. it safes him from risking the motor for a 4 hour drive. The risk to the car's not substantial as long as he doesn't boost it out but still depending on miles and current engine wear there is still a risk.

Add an day or two to your plans and get some stock cams in the car and save yourself the long drive and potential engine risk. (<--Best solution)

well if i have to put the stock cams back in i would...but that would be extra money...i am not doing cams my self...i dont think my mech level is up to par...however i will do all the other work myself...intercooler piping intake...all that.. I just figured i can put everything back to stock and leave in the s1 cams and just get tuned for a stock IX with s1 cams.

The tech level required to remove/replace cams isn't much. I think you should make a tuner friend around base (I know theres a decent tuner croud at WR I've TDY'd there a couple times) and swap the cams, reflash the ecu, don't be scared but learn somthing new.

If you want to drive to Shaw I'll help you with the cam job (free I like to wrench) and reflash you to stock LOL. theres alot of cool people out there who will help with this job and save you a couple bucks. Just put up another post on EvoM and I'm sure you'll get some cheap (if not free) help.

Long live the Evo.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just drive it easy and stay out of boost. Keep engine revs at or near 3000 RPM. You should be fine.
