I am very happy with my BBK full. I have had it in for about a year and I mostly street drive with the occasional autox and eventually would like to do some road racing. I think it is a great turbo for both street driving and racing. Great spool and awesome power.
I plan to bump up to the upcoming BBK-B and am excited to see what kind of increase that will net.

I can give you a pretty good idea on what this turbo capable of...Charlie aka Kreionic (who tunes for DG) Had 1 of the 1st BBK-B, like Caleb...His car was a beast...The dyno he the tuned the car on was 5-10whp of CBRD's dyno...he was stock block, BR Stage 3 head, S2 cams, JMF intake mani, STOCK TB, BR Race FMIC, NO 02 dump, ported exhaust mani., TBE w/o cat...& on straight 93 oct. PUMP gas! It made right at or a little over 490whp, I can't remember the wtq though...He detuned the car a bit & was still making over 460whp...not to bad in my option...I'm sure Chad or Charlie may/can/will elaborate on it...This turbo performed very well, sounded awesome, & in my option was a great! street turbo...I can't wait till these come in production...

Along with the FP Red/BBK turbo, I'm going to do FP 18 or 25psi wastegate, Shearer O2 dump, Shearer manifold, Forge RS BOV and 780-880cc injectors. Anything else you think I need let me know, and I will look into it.

Goals are 400whp, 400wtq on Mustang Dyno or 450+whp and 425+wtq on Dynojet. I will not use meth, E85, c16, etc. I will only be using straight 93 octane pump gas. Thanks all.

Current Mods are:
Greddy Full Titanium Exhaust
DC Sports Downpipe/Test Pipe
Greddy 264/264 Cams
AMS FMIC
ACT HD-TTP 6-Puck Clutch Kit
XACT Streetlite Flywheel
Injen Upper/Lower Intercooler Piping
Injen Intake
TTP/Megan O2 Housing
Walbro 255lhp Fuel Pump
ARP Head Studs
Hallman PRO RX MBC 26psi taper to 20.5(ish)
stock ix turbo
stock injectors
stock exhaust/intake manifold
no porting
364whp/358wtq on TTP's Mustang Dyno

Future Mods with Upgraded Turbo will be:
Shearer/Full Race Exhaust Manifold
Shearer O2 Dump
880cc + injectors
Forge RS BOV
If I do FP Red, I'll use 25psi wastegate, if I do BBK it will be their wastegate (obviously)

EDIT: Original goals were "450whp, 430wtq on Mustang Dyno and 480+whp and 450+wtq on Dynojet" but after some more research, on 93 octane, this is probably unrealistic.

With your goal of 450whp i would go with a T3 setup. If your spending the money on a shearer mani, o2 dump etc. its not really any more money to step up to a T3 setup. go with a pte6057. will spool about same as red and i believe cheaper(talk to mike at awdmotorsports). 6057 will be alot more efficient making your goal also. Ohh and def go with the shearer mani(great quality, i have one).

Oh and going with a T3 setup now leaves you alot of options with turbos 6 months from now when you want more power haha

That's why I voted "other" even though I'm very happy with my BBK Lite. Once you factor in the cost of the Shearer mani, it's really pointless to stay with a bolt-on setup.

I'd personally do a JMF divided T3 manifold with a Borg Warner S259 in the .76AR div. T3 hotside. This will give excellent spool and around 600whp potential (could probably hit at least 500whp on pump gas). And as you pointed out, you could step up to a larger turbo later and make even more power.

Do you know what the spool difference is between the BBK-B and the BBK full? does the B stand for big?

I don't know what the spool difference will be, the final revision is still in production and hasn't been tested yet (I think, Chad correct me if I'm wrong). But from what I have seen from some of the initial test versions is that the spool loss will be pretty minimal. There is a thread on here with dyno plots from GST that has one of the test models (still slightly different than the final version). The car has run both the BBK full and this test version on E85 if you want to check that out, it should give you a rough idea.

CBRD, can you give me an estimate on how fast an EVO (5 speed, either 8 or 9 but please specify) trap with say 350whp on your dyno? any guesses?
