Help with P1021 code please

I'm geting a p1021 code (intake engine oil control valve circuit). I think this is MIVEC related but I'm nit sure what is causing it. I double checked the connector on the valve going to the MIVEC unit. Everything looks goot there. This is something that happened after I did my 2.3 install so I'm sure I fudged something up somehow. car seems to drive fine but I'm not driving it hard cause it isn't tuned yet. It's possible that the MIVEC isn't working & I just can't tell though. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

p1021 code

Is there any loud noise on top of the engine when you hit the throttle abruptly? I'm having the same code with mine. I already replaced the oil feeder valve, but it is still the same. However, when I disconnect the wiring going to the valve, the noise goes away.

My issue was a loose wire to the MIVEC solenoid. It was from doing my motor swap so it was human error on my part & not a part failure or anything.

Matt (TouringBubble) is working on setting up my car on stock ECU speed density. It takes a wile since we are remote tuning it.

sorry to bump this back from teh dead but there aren't any current threads involving this code. I just did a intake mani, exh mani, fmic, turbo upgrade and egr delete all at once. I am getting this code now. I'm sure it's just a loose wire. Where is the mivec sensor located at? What does the sensor or connector that i'm checking look like? thanks
