My 2.4/MIVEC/FPBlack Project is finally almost complete.
After my stock IX block let loose earlier this year I decided to upgrade.
The English Racing krew hooked me up with a 2.4 block and all the goods to put it together.
I was kind of on the fence on which turbo to go with, but after early reports looked so promising, I decided to go with the FPBlack. Newer posts on the FPBlack's performance make me really happy I bought it.
It is going to be really hard to argue with 500 awhp on pump gas that spools at ~3500. The powerband on this comination is going to be truely insane and oh-so fun to drive
1st startup tonight went perfect, no funky noises, she fired right up, hunted around a bit, and then settled down to an idle. I do have the normal startup issues to deal with, a leaky fuel line 'O'Ring, a couple of vacume hoses that still need routing, bleading the ACD, installing the front bumper, etc.
