So that braided line is the stock MIVEC oil feed line?

And THANK YOU! for your help. I am highly grateful for the quick reply.

The benefits of Mivec outweigh the troubles of getting the 2.4 block to accept the feed IMO

agreed.
I'm happy to gain 400-500rpm in spool and 40+hp in the top end for a little fussing with oil lines and wiring.

Yup that line feeds into the Mivec control solenoid.
The stock line is a solid type, similar to the oil feed line for the stock turbo.
No worries!

Nope, not bam... Mivec>Non Mivec, quicker spool is a fact, it's not arguable.

Small update.

The head, IM and EM are currently being ported at MAP.
Final engine assembly should be complete this coming week.
Just took my fuel pump assembly out, ready to be shipped to Buschur on Monday.
I'm also going to be adding an ETS UICP, black powder coat with black couplers.
A Synapse BOV will be attached to it.

There appears to be an issue with getting the Howard Rods in on time, so I will be switching to the Manley Turbo Tuff I-Beams. I'll be running with the lighter 14400 series. They run 637g which is right in line with the Howards, so 9k shouldn't be an issue with this build.

There is also an issue running a high lift cam with the stock retainers, so I will be running the GSC Beehives with Ti retainers.

Original post updated.

The intake manifold, exhaust manifold, oil pan, windage tray, oil pick up tube, FIC 1450 injectors, cam gear, Omni 4-bar MAP sensor, and misc gaskets came in today.

The porting on the IM and EM look great. It's a superb job. I was able to reassemble the entire IM today with injectors, fuel rail, EGR components etc.

Now just waiting on the head and the block. As of yesterday, the turbo is still waiting at FP for parts. The fuel pump assembly is waiting on parts at Buschur also. Hopefully these two delays won't take too long.
