The Muse short route UICP will save you about $100 over most other UICP.

I'd prob go with an Amsoil filter on the FP intake tube with the black since you'll need a pretty big intake.

Pic of the Muse UICP & FP intake.

Slowboy is having a sale on their engines thats why....

When I got quoted by 3 different places slowboy beat them all by $1000 or more for exactly the same stuff almost.

Funny - I decided to get a Muse UICP and FP intake! I'll checkout the Amsoil filters. Thanks for the pic.

I expressed my concern to Slowboy awhile back about cut cranks, and they assured me over the phone that the crank WOULD NOT be cut for a stage III build. The said it would be new OEM or a polished core.

Which is exactly why I went with the SBR build . I just hope it holds up like it does for most people.

Thoughts on ignition? Will stock be sufficient, or should I really consider to upgrade? I was planning on skipping it due to the cost, but I'm starting to reconsider.

i say go spoolup COP good for 800whp and price is more then fair. used or new he sales both. 415+shipping for new(just new smaller design) or 289+shipping for used. As sharkbite told me you dont want to have misfires could tear **** up and a easy solution to fix so im ordering mine tomorrow or monday for my build.

Personally, I'd run stock ignition until you get it dyno'd. If you find that you're losing power due to blow outs or misfiring then you know it's necessary. Otherwise it's one of the most expensive mods which nets the least amount of gains available.

Your right if he was building a 2.0, but for a complete FP Black set up on a 2.4L is well justified to go ahead and invest in a cop. Keep in mind the op is also going to have head work w/ aggressive springs/ cams and a double fuel pump to boot to go along w/ the stroker.
I personally like spark tech, it makes the engine bay look so pretty.

I run a spoolinup and it's been awesome. It eliminated all my ignition issues and the cost is more than reasonable. You will know quickly if the stock ignition isn't holding up. I couldn't get over 25 PSI without misfires and the instant the COP went on it disappeared.

Can't put a price on realiablitly and you if you miss a spark on high boost could cost you alot more damage than the price of a ignition system.

The spoolinup system is no less reliable. It's made with OEM coils that are used everyday in literally millions of vehicles. It's been proven time and time again for cars in the 650+ WHP range. Higher cost does not always give you better results.
