If you have questions, before someone with your teminology goes taking apart my work have someone who knows whats going on call us and go over the build sheet, we keep one for every build in case something bad does happen.

Or if you just need peace of mind, call me - I can go over the basic details.

All of the finish machine work is done (block hone) on a Sunnen SV10, our machine work is second to none - you could pay double what we charge and not get any better work.

If any Q's - feel free to email me - mh@slowboyracing.com

Wow you need to settle down seriously your amped up when you should not be . if you want to see the rod go take alook at my thread i take pics of everything player dont get it twisted please. I NEVER SAID MY BLOCK WAS A SBR MOTOR!!!!. that has never been said by me period. MY block is a Motor - RX 2.4. I was comparing any block to my situation. The block should be checked if you have issues you can pm me directly. I know what i read and what i see coming form your SHOP as far as built motors Period instead of being a A$$ and fighting on issues why not go research them yourself and talk to the customer not just assume SBR can do no wrong. Calm down player.

agreed i dont have issues with SBR but i have plenty of people i know that have. So I ordered parts from Mark nothing but perfect service. So im like just check it all out never said all motors come in as POS i know some that have sweet 2.4.

So again i tell the OP earthen or anybody else to have it fully inspected dont just drop it in.
Fast shipping I can agree with, good parts sure, fast refunds NO WAY...I am still waiting on my refund for an online order and a returned head gasket. 3 weeks and umteen calls later so far.

No i didnt contact you about it, it would just be wasting my time.
And with this, im out of this thread. Sorry drew for clogging your thread, I will be unsubscribing, and out of here. Good luck with your build, and i will look for a completion thread in the future

Nice list there, I got a few of the same. I definately want to compare your dyno chart to mine when we have them to see the difference in oversize valves and head porting to standard size and no porting on mine. Granted it will not be very accurate, but I think somewhat useful.

Do you have an oil pressure and fuel pressure gauge?

A good bore mic goes a long way. Especially someone that sets up top alcohol motors and has plenty of reason to check various depths in the cylinder.

A crank that has been cut at least .0010 and was polished afterward has almost no nitriding left- http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles...to/index2.html (specifically paragraph 3) Nitriding is a standardised machine process so its not going to vary between engine makes more than a thou or 2.

The bores were .0045, .0051, .0061, .0043 on piston to wall vs brand new Wiseco 87mm slugs.

The bore on one cylinder was .0043 at the top, .0060 in the middle, and .0050 at the bottom of the skirt in 100mm of plunge depth. If you have reasons to doubt this I can PM the number of my machinist and he can tell you what he did. Chances are he will call you names and hang up, he's that kind of guy. I was going to leave this off the net but since you asked I decided to give the info out.

For the record, he (our machinist) is the one that solid fills our race blocks and sets up all our piston to wall, we do final assembly. At this point he has more 1050+whp block builds under his belt than there are likely running in America at this time. Archie is old hat at what he does, we pay a premium for his services, and havent been let down yet on machine work. I pull bearings out of a crank that say .25mm on them I am positive I know what I am looking at is not a fresh crank but a turned one. My mic backed it up when I compared to a known std finish crank.

I'll definitely be getting a oil pressure gauge. I'm looking at gsc s2/kelford 272/fp4rs but I haven't 100% decided if they are worth getting yet. Anyone selling a used set?

Yea the HLA is on the head, I put that in the wrong spot when I typed it up. I decided to get 2 cam gears for the added option to tune both intake/exhaust, and so it looks a little nicer. The shop will certainly do a 5-angle but I need to stop spending somewhere! Cams- not sure yet as I stated above. Tubular exhuast manifold - I still don't think its necessary to spend $600+ to get something with minimal gains compared to a well-ported stocker.

a tubular is not going to give you min gains but again i guess that depends on your definitions of small. Get 2 camgears for SURE i love mine looks hella cleaner. As far as stop spending money trust me i been trying to do that but its the little **** that comes up. another clutch oil line for aftermarket oil guage. clear cam cover mil spec seals Etc. I did not get the HLA I was but its one of those deals like having oil squirters not required i rather spend that 180 on a new havoic control set.
