Some current oil analysis info, ongoing testing.
I've noticed the lack of a suitable 10w-40 in 1 or 2 other oil lines as well.
The question to mix or not to mix is a good one. I've only found 1 opinion I would "trust" so far on that question. It is from LN Engineering. They are big on Brad Penn oils (Penn Grade 1). There is a Penn Grade 1 in 10w-40 available, but LN told me they prefer mixing the 0w30 and 20w50 half and half, instead of using the 10w40! I can't swear to you that this is the right recommendation, but these guys are no dummies. You might want to read their "Oil" page, which is here:

Warning, the UOA they show for the 20w-50 seems to have been mis-labeled as "Pennzoil" by some knucklehead at the Lab. But LN labels it BPR2050 for Brad Penn Racing 20w50. Wish they would fix that!

I found some AGIP Racing 10w60 oil I had laying around. I couldnt fine much info on it. I am gonna send it off for a VOA to Blackstone to see what its specs are. Ill post info on it on here as soon as I get it back.
-- I know not many, if any, use this on their evo. Im just doing this for curiosities sake, and to add more info on here for you guys.

Figured I would add my reports
both on Amsoil 10-30 old blue label then the "new" signature series
Report 1: 3,800 Miles 2 track days 91 octane oem filter

Report 2: 3,000 miles 3 track days e85 oem filter

obviously the oil filter couldn't keep up this time around so I'm switching to a pure one oil filter
unfortunately I already did my oil change with another oem filter so it will have to wait until my next oil change to make the switch and then I'll have to wait to take a sample of that.

here's what mine looks like after 6,000 miles which included a track day, sitting for 3 months, and lots and lots of other abuse. only reason i ran it so long is because i didn't have time to change it earlier + being a little on the lazy side :P

Thanks Raptord and TougeGod7 for your UOAs. They have been added to the first page.
All these nice UOAs with different oils, setups, and drain intervals, but funny how there is still frequent posts asking what oil to run on our cars.
