This is the result of our EVO X RBX 7163 TWIN SCROLL versus (same car) BBX evaluation-
Solid is 7163 , dashed bbx- same car- same dyno, same mods-
please note- this car was always a bit strong on our dyno- even on the bbx lite- but these results just give a nice comparison- ill get some other overlays-
we are considering a T4 IWG evo 8/9 kit since people keep asking- but the manifold design would be drastically different than our current EWG 7163 EVO 8/9 kit-

we will be adding our new 3" intake (we previously only made a cold air- this new one is in the engine compartment with heat shield), and changing the exhaust at some point- should make an EASY 450whp (our limit on stock block on our dyno)..

Pretty impressive boost for boost gain. I'd sure like to see a max effort tune on a dynojet.
Ah, I missed the "lite" part. What were the wheel sizes on that turbo for the Evo 10?
Id have to go back and look- but it was an off the shelf bb lite-
we never had as consistent numbers from the stock frame options we had- as we are having with these kits- they have all been making 400-440whp...
Im really really really happy with the response and feel of these kits- the TS kit did better than I anticipated- in this application- I would still choose the Vband single if I built a X again- because it has a little more head room-
If we go any larger than these options on the X- it is our Tial Vband kit- with Custom Garrett or XONA Rotor turbos- for big power-

ok, I looked back and couldn't find any solid numbers on wheel size, but it was advertised as a 52 lb/min turbo, so the 7163 should kill it for power. Nice part is that it does so without giving up any low end.
the lite uses a stock turbine mated to that killer 50 gram comp wheel. so this comparo is really impressive in my eyes. sure looks like the 7163 is an amazing turbo.
Something a little strange about that comparo. I thought the BBX-lites spool much faster then that but then I see that its utilizing a stock airbox and oem exhaust system? This would absolutely kill spool and low end torque (and obviously power). I found a ralliart spool log on the bbx-lite with oem catback that spools better then that on 91oct. What fuel and components on both runs?
Thanks for sharing that chart, CBRD. Really good to see some results.

Even if the rest of the mods weren't ideal, the post says that the mods were the same for (aside from the turbo, obviously) for the comparison.
