Car won't go into gear.
Car won't go into gear.
I floored it in 2nd gear and tried to shift into 3rd at redline but it just would not go.
Pulled over, turned the car off then back on and it would not go into any gear and the pedal felt soggy and pulsating. Turned the car off again, put it in 2nd, and drove the car home. After I drove the car into my driveway it started to work like normal so I put it into 1st gear. Once I took it out of 1st gear in my driveway, problem started again and would not go into any gear.
I replaced the slave cylinder and bled it out. No luck.
My question is: Should I try to replace the Master cylinder first before I drop the whole transmission out of the car?
Has anyone had this happen to them? If so what is the problem?
Thanks,
John

well u can try the slave cylinder, what you can also try is adjusting your clutch pedal underneath dash to see if it helps...also check your linkage under hood make sure its not kinked or anything
good luck

check for fluid leaks from the clutch lines, check the master and slave cylinders for leaks.... slave cylinder is on the trans has a bleeder valve on it. double check it, best bet, is to remove the dust cover under trans and try to inspect the clutch, dont be suprised if you find some stuff layin in it. good luck
