Fwiw on vd corrected I'm making avg 325-330 HP and 296-310 tq. If both these things cumulatively add 20 avg, id be stoked, I'm guessing there's the.ability for 25-40 HP gain based on tuning. 350 @ 1.0 vd would make me super happy, not to mention I'm learning every day I tune.

Someone like wshihdnevo is pretty much maxing out the IX turbo and really pushing the envelope. He has a straight through 4" SD intake, I think, as well as a one off IM and a quality header, in addition to other neat stuff.

It is nice to see that there are peeps wanting to maximize the IX turbo platform. This new 11.5cm housing should really add another dimension to the quest for extracting more power from the IX turbo. So, good luck!

LOL I STI swapped my wrx and kept the td04, 323 ft lbs @ 3000 rpm and a six speed dccd = donut monster. The ext wastegate on the td04 revealedgood midrange too. Stock turbo usually floats my beans well.. main reason for the fap are 3.375 intake. I'm goin with the fp inlet too with a box. I hope the 11.5 still gets on boost at reasonable enough for autocross rpms.. I mean if its gonna lag me by 500+ rpm, I'm gonna 89 it lol..

I would love to have a Magnus V5 or a Wilson Ported Manifold but the Magnus I have is a the V2 raised Velocity stacks Magnus street SMIM. My last outing last July I made 385 so I am hoping to better that before I throw the 11.5cm housing on. I think I am going to order it up on Monday.

Are there any reputable Evo vendors selling the 11.5, or is it only available through EBay? Crap, I remembered that I'd have to get this housing cut to fit the Red's turbine wheel. So, I wouldn't be able to just slap it on my turbo. Oh, Rats!

Bolt on for me . Would I benefit from a modified mivec cam gear on this one? Subies run 38* max and if mivec is for midrange and spool it seems logical for more of it on a hotside which would delay spool to some degree.. just thinkin here

Out of curiosity does anyone have pics of a MHI 10.5cm turbine housing next to the Evo 10s 12.5cm one ? I know the 10s one is not a RR turbo but a general comparison should show the internal and external size differences .

Also do the 10s turbine and compressor wheels vary markedly from the 9s excepting of course the direction of rotation ?

I don't know a whole lot about the 4B11T engine other than it uses a larger turbine housing and runs more boost .
I'm only really interested in the turbo differences not so much model specific compressor housings or the double VCT etc .

Cheers A .

kinugawa 10.5 hotside and 02 housing

Ok Guys, here are some pics of my Kinugawa 10.5 hotside mated to a Kinugawa 02 housing (same as Titek V2) both are ported and coated, and the 02 housing is coverted to 3" V-band.

I´m 99% sure that the 11.5 housing (also sold by Kinugawa and other ebay vendors) is made by the same company that made this 10.5 hosing, which is very nice quality.

I´m also tempted to go with the 11.5 housing to maximize my Evo 5 turbo.

Cheers,

Ricardo

Also ordered up the same O2 housing as RJSP. Im going to make sure the outlet is ported to 3" and it will go on with the 11.5cm housing at the same time.
