On a stock block I dont know if you will get 420whp on 92 oct.
I am on 98 Oct and only getting 400 whp on a 2.3L, if you do get it... I am changing my tuner lol

Most Oz dynos read a lot lower than most US dynos, and US 92 octane is roughly the equivalent of NZ/Oz 98

Ahhh sweet, cheers for clearing that up... I was wondering how 92 oct could do so well compared to 98 oct lol

I have installed a TD06SL2-25G on a EVO8MR, and right now I'm disappointed.
Only 10HP more than the stock turbo at the same boost level (around 22psi), and 1000rpm of spool lost.
Someone with the same problem here?

It's not going to produce a ton of power down low like that. This is like an fp black. The turbo comes alive above 25 horsepower and will generate a ton more power at that boost. Crank her up some more and see what she nets you.

It's not near an FPblack at all in dimensions.
The TD06SL2-25G has a 60-78mm compressor and 54-61mm turbine. It's like an HKS 7460 with a bigger compressor wheel.

Also, I cannot crank the boost up, even with the WG hose disconnected it doesn't make more than 23psi. The WG actuator seems perfect, and also the car has no boost leaks. I suspect a defect in the WG port or in the exhaust housing.

You need to increase your preload on the wastegate arm. This is a common problem that has been talked about many of times. Crank that baby down and reset your boost controller once youve done that. Also your spool will decrease because it will be holding the flapper down longer.

The preload is already at the max, 4 full turns.
The actuator is fine, it begins to open at 19psi and holds the pressure, I cannot see any problem here.
However, I don't want to run more boost than this, 22psi is fine on pump gas on a stock engine. But it is really down on power compared to a stock turbo.

Stock engine you could run 27-30psi no problem. HP would be in the 450-500 range and torque would be 350-375. That's very safe for the stock engine. Also what mbc are you using or are you using one?

you have a flapper problem if you only get 23psi with no line on wastgate. you should get 40+psi by 5000rpm

What 1/4 mile times are people running on this turbo. From what I see here guys are running between 400-550WHP but with lost spool and the hard hitting torque of the stock turbo. I finally got one and im hoping to run better 1/4 miles.
