Has anyone put the 25g wheel on the fp red with their compressor housing? My red is in need of a rebuild and I'm considering all options at this point.

Do they have FP wheels there? Or do they have upgraded wheels?

That's a pretty bold statement given that you have zero data on the turbo in question.

No they do not if they claim they do they are lying. Our wheels are made in the USA and are not available in the aftermarket. That being said we're happy to service our product for you and we do rebuilds on EVO products starting @ $300.

Give us a call or shoot us an e-mail and we'll be happy to help you out.

That's the problem, I can't be without the car for any long periods of time. Sure I'd love to get it rebuilt but you can't tell me any time frame I would be without my car. So I really have no choice but to look at other options. Unless you guys want to sell me your wheel and housing then sure I'd be glad to purchase it and rebuild it myself. Of course I would not hold you or fp accountable if I screwed it up.

That wasn't a remark to the reliability of your turbos really.. I am running an hta86 after all.

People always want to cheap out on work and look for the fastest/easiest way which isn't always the most reliable option.

I was just capitalizing on his statement. he has an fp turbo but doesn't want to use fp to rebuild it.. makes no sense to me.

Maybe you should understand the entire situation before making your remarks about being cheap. The car is daily driven I have to drive to work I can't take 2-3 weeks off work while I wait on FP to rebuild it. So instead I wanted to buy the FP parts but they did not want to sell them to me. So therefore I'm in this thread trying to find another alternative till I can get another vehicle to drive or another bigger turbo.

you need to have someone do the work. it's not as simple as installing the parts yourself lol.. unless you know how to balance a turbo.

So my 25g is a 25g compressor with a td05 turbine in a 10cm t3 housing. I have never been able to get rid of the compressor surge. It gets mild surge occasionally up top during a pull depending on the weather, the tune, etc. but if it builds boost before ~4k in 3rd, 4th, or 5th (it normally reaches full boost by ~3900) it surges violently at ~10psi and cannot build any more boost. Now it does not surge ever in 1st or 2nd. I have ruled that the turbine is too small and i am replacing the turbine wheel with a td06h, and adding a billet comp wheel.

So the million dollar question is what size housing should i go with??? I have an ecotec 2.0 with a completely stock motor. My redline is 7k. My goals for my setup are no more than 550whp on e85 and i will be spraying 7gph of meth as well just for cooling. I am also confused on the housing sizes. I thought 8cm was ~.61-.63ar. 10cm ~.71-73ar and 12cm ~.89ar. Then i was told that 8cm is ~.55ar and 10cm was like .68ar and 12cm .82

My housing options are:
8cm. Too small imo
10cm. Same i have now but larger turbine will spool slower.
12cm. Too big imo
12cm twin scroll. If this spools like a 10cm single scroll its the winner imo.

Thoughts, opinions, or corrections greatly appreciated!!!

I would think you should be able to use it on your red as long as you get the wheel and compressor housing. I have a 25G and the billet wheel appears to be balanced before its asembled but I dont now that for sure. I dont see how they could sell an upgrade kit though for the evo 9 if it wasnt pre balanced.
