those input shafts are super super stout .. they arent gonna bend... and i talked to QM about that they said it was an alignment thing it would cause damage to the input shaft spine as well as the disks, not to mention those input shafts are shout as hell .. if where a pilot bearing why dont more clutches get messed up ..idk just thinking out loud

Maybe the added weight of the triple. Yeah I really have no idea. I'm also thinking out loud and it just seems weird.

I met with and talked to Evan from Exedy today. He told me that they are addressing this issue in their clutches with a new design feature. Once I see it I'll snap some pics. He said they feel confident this new design will solve this recurring problem.

If they do make a "fix" for the issue I would purchase another one. The clutch was the best driving highest hp holding clutch I have had in my evo. I have had several clutches and would love to have this one in there if it doesnt mess up the hub anymore....

I just ran into this issue...I have about 6,000 miles. I'm sending this thread over to Steve at Exedy as he's telling me that mine is due to improper adjustment but it was adjusted exactly as it should have been.

If they don't do anything I'm going with the new QM. I'd recommend talking to Cisco at Strictly Modified...they have the best pricing so far that I've found!

Ya I don't see how improper adjustment would cause the disks to wear into the floater hub, seems like a issue with whatever the hub is made out of.

I dunno this whole thread makes me extremely hesitant to purchase a triple disk upgrade for my twin.

Greg - I don't think Dan is running this clutch anymore. I could be wrong but I think he might be going to a AT.
