So I have been running this set-up with this radiator:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/92-00-HONDA-CIVIC-MT-2-ROW-DUAL-CORE-ALUMINUM-RACING-RADIATOR-COOLING-FAN-SHROUD-/200740819278?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2ebd15d14e&vxp=mtr
It has been fine for DDing and I have done some previous auto-crossing but saturday I auto-crossed on a long course (over 2 minutes) and I was nearly over heating. Was a pretty warm day,80 degF or so, and sunny. I curious if anyone else has had this problem? I'm runnning a 50/50 mix without any water wetter, I will probably add some now but I am a little worried.

My advice to you is going to be to replace that fan with a SPAL/FAL asap. Those ebay fans honestly suck and don't flow for ****. I've been to hell and back with this half size radiator business, and I'm still not sure why I'm doing it. The radiator straight up overheats with the stock ebay fan in traffic on a hot day. Forget it.

Fabbed a bar to mount the radiator on using the OEM lower mounts, this helps elevate the lower hose off of the front crossmember mount. I'm using a 12" SPAL HP puller, with the thermostat out and it has been working fine in the night/when it was cooler out.

I'm pretty used to watching my OEM temp gauge. It sits about 1/8" below half when it's clicking the fan on and off, but today was about 95 degrees out, and i was in the morning traffic with the AC on. I didn't have my laptop on me and it was steadily approaching half in the stop and go. If my laptop charges in time, I'll log some numbers and put some actual data in this thread.

+1

I ran this rad back in 2009 when I went to the peak boost ram tubular manifold. I relocated the brackets on the stock fan to bolt up to the new rad.

I would never run an aftermarket fan unless it was tested and proven. My friend had a 2G DSM with the ebay dual fans (came with his new rad) and he was overheating.

So I ordered the DNA radiator right from their site, the one mentioned here. I didn't want to drill or modify the car in any way so I had one of the bottom mount posts on the rad cut off and welded in the middle so it would slip into the stock bottom mount and the top mount would simply bolt on. Well, the lower radiator spout is now located directly in front of the lower motor mount with no room for the lower rad hose. I now need to have the spout cut off and welded at a fairly extreme angle to clear the mount. Just wanted to give people a heads up if they were going to do it this way. I didn't want any brackets or to drill into the car.

Just picked up a tri core, tri-row radiator for 89 shipped. I'll post results, I have a drag car and get it up to 805.

Sure - got the Spal 12" high performance puller

http://www.ebay.com/itm/130932579865...84.m1497.l2649

This fan rocks - 1640cfm, and I'm also thinking about using my flex-a-light fan in the front as a pusher for additional flow.

Teamed up with a tri-core, tri-pass should = better than OEM cooling!

I didn't know this thread was on here... I did my own custom setup. Used the Godspeed 3row 52mm half rad with the stock evo 9 fan modified to fit. I ordered a radiator hose from eBay as the stock one won't fit the 1.2in outlet the new hose is a snug fit and works great. I'm running close to a 50/50 mix without water wetter at the moment... Plan to add it in soon. I have taken quite a few short trips as I'm doing break in of my build. And idled in my garage for over an hour without breaking 200 on the log...

I would be interesting to see results on a regular day of driving with stop and go traffic and A/C running.

Just an update I have a Mishimoto kit in my car. Have only got my temp gauge to go past half way once and that was in the middle of summer stopped in traffic for 20 minutes not moving at all. Car was definitely on its way to overheating though.

I'm just running 50/50 right now. I'm going to add water weter for next summer more then likely. I've had the kit on my car for 2 years now and haven't had any problems other then this one time. It was just too hot with not moving for the kit to handle. I'm not stock though. Running a 71HTA turbo, FP4R cams, 4" ETS intercooler, and no AC.
