Back from the dead thread because I'm looking to run a mishimoto Honda small radiator in my Evo since I'm going FF but I'm wondering how you modified your OEM fan to mount it? Or if anyone else on here is using the OEM fan on your half radiator and can let me know how you bolted it up, that would be great.
You can see the fans here:

I have a half radiator as well. What I did was use both of the factory fans, one as a pusher and one as a puller, on my setup. Both fans are set at their highest output. As a result I never have overheating issues, even on the highway. Now, if the car sits for a long period of time idling, it will eventually get hot (200F), but that takes about 30 minutes of idle time to get it there even in the summer. So, I would say it works pretty well. If you can fit the factory fans, they rock. The one thing I did is I had a friend, who works as an electrical tech, reverse the polarity on the front fan so that it would now become a pusher rather than puller. And, my block is 3/4 filled which usually makes an engine run hotter.

I have the Mishimoto Honda small radiator in my car. I used the fan and shroud designed for the radiator. I looks really clean. The fan is shrouded so you get maximum performance from it. The fan is a significant amount slimmer and lighter then the stock one. I would recommend using it. I have the same performance from mine as the other guy who commented after you.

Hey I was at work and not paying full attention
I fabricated a bracket which uses the driver side radiator mount and then drilled a new location for the mount on the top. I can get a pic this weekend.
Ya I'll look when I get home.

Thanks!

Here's a post/pic of my two different 1/2 radiators. Which do you have? I have a mounting solution for the "Civic" one and the Koyo modified one sits in without any problems.
Also to avoid the lower rad hose from rubbing the front mount you can either relocate it via welding or add a larger ID hose over the rad hose to protect against rubbing through.

Purchased aluminum flat stock, bolts, nuts and fender washers from hardware store.
Measured out the locations of the stock lower radiator mounts. Drilled holes and bolted up the OEM mounts.
Test fit on the car at the lower radiator support and and mark the spots for the civic radiator mounts and drill holes.

I put a little plasti dip on the bolt that the radiator rests on. I'd recommend a rubber bolt cap.

As you can see this moves the radiator over to the driver's side and gives some good support on the bottom. The top mount should be self explanatory, but let me know if you need pics of that too.

Thread from the dead. So, General consensus being if you are making big power, a 3 core half rad like this won't work? I'm planning on front facing kit, borg s362 on e85 mostly, but its a strict street car, keeping AC.
