Don't delete it. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I don't agree with him but Dave's a big boy and wither he chooses to respond to him (which I'm sure will be nice and courteous, LOL) or completely ignore him like he doesn't exist (I prefer this method but its easy to say since he isn't trying to **** me off) is entirely on him.
Just ignore the comment. In a few posts it will be like he never posted anyways.
Hoping he finally gets to run without breaking this weekend and improves his time.

Meh... If you drag race a lot.... You would share Dave's sentiment about running 1/8 mile.
No one sets 1/8 mile records. Even if you run a great 1/8 mile, you can't say you "would've" run a x.xx 1/4 mile. Simply because you DIDN'T.
Furthermore when you're running an expensive car setup like Dave's you don't want to fatigue parts or components for something that doesn't count. Why break your trans proving nothing?
PSImoretehbetter,
Dave's car is pretty well dialed in over the past IDK... almost 10 years of racing Evo's down the drag strip. I don't think he needs to do a whole lot of adjustments that would justify running the 1/8th.
my 2 cents.

The haters stopped by I see. hahahaha
We spent the last two days building, verifying and triple checking the two trans mounts we have to have built. They left for Torque Solutions today to be duplicated, 25 sets will be done........soon I hope.
We are going to run at Thompson on Saturday if anyone is intersted in coming out to watch. Track opens at 10 am, time trials start at 10:30. I've heard they have also ran some 1/8th mile this year, so I'll call first before wasting my time. I want an 8 second time slip, I don't care what the car runs in the 1/8th. Hopefully the weather is good enough for them to run the full track.
Matt Smith got his mounts we built by hand shipped out today and his car is ready now other than the electronics. We just got our custom built circuit boards in yesterday and Rick is busy wiring up the boxes. Matt will be ready to go and is racing his clutchless auto in Fayetteville, NC on the 27th at the Spec Ops race. He's got a BR built EVO with a one of our 2.1's in it. It's set up at low boost now and I'm going to try to be available for checking logs and turning the power up as the day goes on that day. He's run a best of 9.6 previously I think, on the 5 speed.
Nick's car is at our shop now, waiting to have his trans installed, it's done, waiting on him to run the car a few more times on the 5 speed before we swap it in. Nick's car always makes over 700 whp on our dyno and ran some 9's at 150+ at the Shootout. Same set up as my car.
The third unit is about ready for Dan in Michigan, waiting on his Tcase to show up for machining and then he'll get started on getting his car together.

At some point you just have to laugh.......because anything else you want to do would be illegal.
Sucks Dave. I was really looking forward to results for you guys so you can finally put this to bed.
Want to come to Fayetteville this coming weekend?

We have a chance to race this coming Friday/Sat and Sunday as far as I know right now and will take any shot at it we can. I am also thinking of just renting the track and getting it over with.
I do want to come to Fayetteville but have already agreed to do something else..........

Update. Matt has his trans in and was ready for Saturday but ran into troubles already. We are going to try to work through them tomorrow. Nothing is broken but it's not shifting correctly. I'm sure glad to have someone else running the trans now, the more the better, so we can get this perfected quicker.
For us, November 3rd, Saturday, is the next chance we will have to run here at D42.
