See anything wrong with this timing setup?

Hey guys!
So I timed my engine last night and it has been my first 4g63/4 time job. I could really use you experts out there to confirm that this looks correct before I drop it in. The setup is a 2.4 4g64 on a stock EVO 8 head with adjustable cam gears. And I used the hem 4g63 belt so I have advanced my cam gears 3.75 degrees. Thanks for your time guys!!

im pretty sure its on correct. ill check when i gethome today, i remember reading the thread about someone putting it on backwards amd double checked. but it cant hurt to triple check. And also, should i have lined up the timing marks with the cam gear marks on the inside or outside like i did then adjust the gear?

+1^ Bad pic but looks like the trigger plate is backwards since I see the teeth marks for the pulley behind the crank pulley. Or am I seeing things ... on my phone so pic is smaller too. <br />

I too don't see the 'V' notch. Cam timing marks line up good. I don't know how you are to degree your cam gears so someone else can confirm and or comment on that.

Youll tear up the belt and there is a timing mark on it to, so it wont run correct at all.

Yes you just need to pull your timing belt off.

And the big bolt holding the gear to remove the plate.

OP, just get a better pic with it at top dead center.

I didn't see all of your threads when you PM'd me. It looks like your trigger plate is on backwards. Your valves will have hit your pistons if such is the case, unfortunately.

Valves hit the piston from that plate? Wouldn't it just throw a code and make the car run like poop? Or not start like in my case?

If you timed your motor with the trigger plate on backwards it will still line up, but your crank will be at BDC when it should be at TDC or vice versa (correct me if I'm wrong). My buddy put his on backwards and he bent valves forcing it to turn over by hand.

Not saying that this is definitely the case, but if you properly timed your motor with the trigger plate on backwards then it's definitely a possibility.
