The only thing 4g64 here is the block and water pump. Everything else is stock evo.

Speaking of water pumps....

MAP sells a "shim"/plate to be used with the stock Evo water pump.

Others are using the Outlander pump.

Those with experience, can you chime in and say what you went with and why? My goal is to use all the stock timing covers, etc. Literally I want it to be as close to factory as can be allowed, taking into account the 6mm taller block.

Only time I've ever seen that happen is when it wasn't tightened down properly at installation or when an accessory drive is locked up.

Not sure off the top of my head, but if it comes down to it you can do i as i typically do. I have an old belt i cut in half, take it and wrap it around everything and pull it tight, mark where it laps around and buy three belts close to that size and return the ones that don't get the job done. Belt numbers are pretty self explanatory as they directly reference the width and length of the part.

How did you manage to crack your radiator?

Also, where are you buying a $400 radiator? Both the full size and half sized Koyo's, and the MISHIMOTO are $270 shipped. FullBlown's full size radiator is only $220 and the Yonaka Lightweight Performance radiator is $130. I'm not saying it to be a smart ***, I'm just saying you might want to shop around because that's ridiculous.

outlander pump here. Put over 7000 miles in a month at 552/455 beating the **** out of it as a DD and driving it everywhere. leak free. Another friend has 1200 miles on his in a week and leak free etc. another one made 840/730 with no issues. another one is making 520 with no issues.

Outlander pump here. Had to cut the lower timing cover though. Pulley was rubbing.

Someone just bought the listing for the full size Koyo, give it another day and another $270 one will pop up.

Well I never saw a full size one for that price and I didn't have time to wait for an auction to end. I'm not an idiot. I found a mishimoto way cheaper than what you just posted anyways. And yes EVOS are POS money pits. PERIOD.

Then maybe you should just cut your losses and sell it to someone who knows how to work on them.
