FP Cast o2 housing

Searched but could not find much info.

wondering if this product has been released/tested yet for the ss housing turbos. Apparently they heard the moans and groans of people like myself who did not like the fact that the new ss housing turbos are not a true bolt on with the housing needing a new or custom fabricated downpipe. with this new cast o2 housing that bolts your existing downpipe to the ss housing turbos it puts fp back in my radar since i would just need a wg and dump. And the fact i could get one right now with all the options for under $1400 makes it even better, but i do not want to be a guinea pig if this is something new without real world testing and feedback such as fitment, power, reliability (hopefully decent being a cast piece) ect.

I actually have an MHI Red but called FP regarding this new O2 housing. I was curious. It does in fact allow bolt on to stock location downpipe. As far as performance, I have no clue, but atleast their new turbo setups are becoming more affordable. I'd love to hear about real world fitment/performance from some actual users.

yeah its released, Ive got it at my house right now, Its ****ing awesome. Abit heavy though, but a god damn beast. And yes its full bolt on to existing downpipes as long as you dont have an AMS style. And they even include a 2 bolt flange incase you do. And I wouldnt call it being a Guinea pig, the o2 housing is pretty much the same size and turn down as the factory style. It fits.

but honestly if I were you Ide probably just buy the SS housing FP RED. Its pretty much equivalent to a Fpblack MHI power wise. But the stainless housing is pretty. But man that o2 housing is HEAVY. I mean, HEAVY. I wouldnt worry about it ever cracking, I just dont think its possible.

Why won't it work with the AMS style downpipe?

Got a couple ideas floating around in my head. My buddy has a 2.3 with a SS FP Black JB and S2's (non mivec) and he's making 650whp on a mustang dyno. He's hitting 37psi by 4200rpm. Wouldn't mind replicating that setup or something similar. Even a 2.3/S2/Green setup would be fun

nice piece. anyone of you guys have any pics of the inside? does it look restrictive compared to a 3" one piece downpipe? at 16lbs..its pretty heavy..but should have some room for porting.

SS Red with a 2.3 is legit. I talked to Aaron about this. He said boost threshold would be a bit quicker, and it would make a bit more power on E85.

Only 3 bolt on the back end, the mouth is still 2 bolt.

I have an AMS exhaust, and the 3 bolt connection is under the car. It still has 2 spring bolts up front. Also, fp has a few mhi housing turbos that they are building right now to order. Check the website under holiday sales. I was actually thinking about getting one for a backup since they're so hard to come by.

Just as evo8426 and WickedRSEvo stated, my AMS downpipe is a 2 bolt flange at the top (where the turbo outlet bolts on).
