Minor update, gave FP a call today. I was told they haven't started building the turbos yet... and that if you need to add porting or coating you will need to call them and request it.

So

Yeah

Hmmm

They receive my turbine housing tomorrow. I'm told four weeks to get it back. Bummer because i'm missing the first Global Time Attack event for this year.

Minor update part 2.

Apparently the facebook post about FP having 8 units ready to go was not accurate. They are building them as we speak and shipping them out as quickly as they can.

The website has been updated to reflect the same options available on the other turbos. If you ordered earlier than the updated web page, you can call/email them to specify the options you want.

Hope that helps people out.

How the heck does that happen?

FP Guy 1: Hey, how many FP 54's do we have ready sitting on the shelf?

FP Guy 2: None.

FP Guy 1: Ok, I'm gonna post on Facebook that we have 8 ready to go.

Sounds about right. Not to completly bash them cause they put out an awesome product but the customer service/communication was terrible when I delt with them awhile back.

I've already had a couple hiccups, but nothing serious. Mostly communication issues. I have a bad feeling about the eta for my turbo, though. Fingers crossed.

Just for the record, I have no problem with FP. My Red came in a reasonable amount of time and Amber was very nice. I was just trying to figure out how "we have 8 on the shelf ready to go" ends up being zero lol

I wonder if they have re-released this item because they are having problems with their Billet Cores...

What problems are they having? I hadn't read anything about them.

Yes! Amber was super helpful, I added the porting and coating to mine so I won't be seeing it for a little while longer but I'm not in a particular time crunch.

My main issue was that it took 16 business days to respond to my questions

Took them 1 day to charge my card though
