evo 8 not moving after clutch installed

the car is barely moving so how do you expect to hear anything, power is probably only being distributed to your front wheels, you pretty much answered your own question, you already took your trans apart and its okay, the only other possibility would be the transfercase, get it out, take the few bolts off from where the passenger side axle exits, and crack it open, the diff is housed in there.

ok thanks I just wanna be sure.. my first time messing with an evo, don't know anything about them really, but thanks I will do that tomorrow morning & let u know the results

hope you find your problem, one more thing, when you put everything back together, dont forget any of your transmission bell housing bolts, specially the one that bolts from the block side, if you forget that by any chance, you will get premature clutch wear, and it could even twist your crank in the long run, just an fyi

I believe you have found your problem. If the tcase doesnt go straight through you have a lsd from what I was told I have the wavetrac and mines the same. Unfortunately someone used the wrong fluid it looks like and you need a rebuild. Only use the factory oem fluid in the tcase.
