Setup thoughts !

Hi guys !

Will be getting my cylinder head done soon & was wondering what your thoughts are & how much power I would be able to squeeze out.

kelford 272 cams
Kelford valve springs & titanium retainers
ARP l19 headstuds

FP red turbo (journal bearing EVO 9 housing)
Tial MV-S wastegate

Bosch 1000cc injectors
walbro 460lph fuel pump

SPP exhaust manifold & SPP screamer

Tuned on e85
stock bottom end

what are your thoughts ?

thanks

Should be able to make over 500whp easy on E85. I'd port the inlet to the waste flapper to eliminate any chances of boost creep.

I'd make sure you have zero boost leaks.

The BB reds can make over 600whp dynojet, You would have to make the call on the JB with what you are comfortable with.

Getting the head fully serviced & with new internals & valve stem seals
also I want the head gasket done along with the timing belt, So I figured to get everything done at once so If i want to later on build my bottom end, I can do without touching the head

Looks like you are going to need more injector . 1000's are going to be out quickly on E85. I'd also recommend getting more voltage to that pump.

I'd step into some 1650's or 1700's if you plan on making over 500whp.

Tuner reckons 1000cc should be good/reliable on e85 with the setup I am going with.

Although I forgot to mention the pump is getting re wired

On E85, 1000cc injectors will hit 80% IDC at 44.72 lb/min of air flow, so just over 400whp. They are the limiting factor here.

Bosch makes a 1600, but cheaper isn't necessarily better. ID2000s would probably run nicer, might not hurt to read around what people are using for the 500-600 range.

Go with ID1700's or FIC 1650 Hi-Z's.

I had fic 1120cc and ran out of fuel at 480ish whp on e85 with my old red setup. Definitely would recommend bigger injectors if your goal is over 500
