I think the stock rev limiter is set at 7600 rpm. I remember hitting the limiter in 1st gear with 300whp when I first got my Vishnu V400, with Shiv raising it to 7800rpm. Lol

I can't make out what broke in pictures. Is this a stock bottom end?

Were there any indications or signs before rod quit? Maybe rod knock or taps?

Nope, was getting on the freeway at WOT, shifted 3-4, went a little more, just let go. She had a rough life. Not really upset about it lol

Darn, I was hoping for a warning sign to watch out for. Guess it's just the luck of the draw that some got knock before failing. I'll be watching your build to get ideas

My rod bearing didn't spin. I'm pretty sure I can still see the big end of the rod attached to crank. Rod beam simply failed. Was cold night, boost was probably up, making more torque than what we tuned for, and she said no mas.

That explains why there wasn't any warning. I better check my torque levels again. Thx for posting!

It's incredible the difference a cold night can make in terms of power output. In our cars it can mean more than a 10hp difference, according to butt dyno lol. I'll be following your build as well and look forward to seeing the end results.

If you can feel 10hp you have a very sensitive butt I will say however that on cold nights a good boost spike that hits 2-3# more can be an easy 20-30ft/lbs extra and that you can feel. When your bottom end is already teetering on the edge of extra crankcase ventilation that's all it takes. Don't take my word for it just ask Sean
