The car was run at NHRA this last weekend. Sat we almost didn't make it as we fired the ignition on the way up(had to run on the stock stuff and misfired the whole track).

Then on Sunday morning we put a MSD unit in the car and it made the misfire go away and the car was back to it's normal self. We did a pass and the clutch slipped in 2nd,3rd and 4th. The basic ACT street clutch just couldn't hold the power. We ended up running some horrible 11.7 at 125 or something.

We are nowing putting a TRE trans and RPS twin carbon in the car before we run it again at IDRC in Palmdale. Hopefully with the combination of these two items we will be able to get a clean run.

At the NHRA event the clutch wouldn't hold the power in 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear. I basically limped the car down the track. We are putting the RPS twin carbon and TRE races trans in next week.

Thank you RnR Racing in stepping up to our RPS Twin Disc C/C. RPS is releasing the Twin disc Carbon-Carbon on the 8th of November.

Yea im a confused little newbie, but I am interested in spending the cash.

Will this work on the VIII MR, will other bolt on modifications still fit on it, and is it a 4g63 with a 2.4 stroker, or a 4g64. All I need to know. lol. If it will work on the MR chances are you just bought yourself a customer for the entire 11 grand package.

Sry I need to learn things to know them, but I am serious about buying.

RPS, we will hopefully be running with the new clutch this weekend. We are still waiting for our TRE trans to come in. I will let you know the results of everything, but we are very confident this will be the last clutch we ever need. We passed up the Excedy twin carbon for the RPS.

Outlaw, it will work perfect with an MR. We are building some motors right now. So PM if you have any questions or need any info. It is a 4G64 block and you keep your stock 4G63 bottom end in case you ever need it.

How did you mount the 4g64 on your evo8? the mounting bolts of the evo engines are different with the other mitsubishi engine. I tried a 4g63 block from an evo3 and it wont fit and mount on my evo7. The positions of the evo is reversed with the cam gears going to the right of the car. Other 4g63 or mitsubishi engine goes the other way. You must have done a lot of work on the engine block.

No one is the states has tried what you just tried. Everyone is aware the EVO4-8 blocks are different than the EVO1-3. There are 2.4 blocks that interchange with both series in the states. You may not have them there. I have spent a good bit of time in the philippines and from what I have seen most of your cars are built with economy in mind. All the cars I checked out at the dealers had smaller engines than what they come with in the states. If the car had a 1.6 or 2.0 in the states it would come with a 1.3 or 1.6 in the philippines. The 2.4 blocks may be quiet rare there as I beleive your top model galants came with 2.0 instead.

You just need to find the right block to bolt-in. You just need a few adpater plates.

It is a 3G eclipse or outlander block I've already put two of these 2.4's into evo's (in the states).

So what did you have to do to fit them in? My understanding is there is not an absolute bolt in...
