That's weird becuause when I plug the CReader into the OBDII port with the ignition off, the CReader does its countdown like it's attempting to read a code.
Sorry..didn't mean to hijack the thread...back to the regularly scheduled program.......

I am really too lazy to read through 25 pages of this.
Will this dealer flash overwrite a dynoflash/turbotrix flash?
If it does is the ECU reflashable after the dealer flashes it?
I was told the delaer flash would not overwrite a tune flash although it sure would be nice to know!

Yes, a dealer flash will overwrite any other that's on the ECU. I can't speak for the others, but WORKS has the appropriate Brain Flash that blends seamlessly with all of the Mitsu reflashes.
Well I also have a thread in the Turbotrix area of the forum. My understanding though is that the part that deals with the tune and the part that deals with the code are two seperate parts of the ECU. This means it will go untouched. I guess I should go drive it hard and find out.
Works: Are you able to reflash the ECU after a dealer flash?

Well in that case I see no reason why TT or Dynoflash would overwrite the ECU's on a flash because they are also ECUtek dealers.
Although if a dealer flashes over a ECU after you have flashed it will you guys have to flash it again to bring back the tune? I am looking for a catch22 here although if I need a reflash for tuning purposes and WORKS is the only company that can guarantee not to kill my ECU it may be worth the extra investment. Do you guys tune for mods that are not yours? Do you tune based from knock? What is your AFR ratio for a typical mail tune?
Thanks!
