I did a search for "mitsu sucks a big donkey deek" and I found out that: YES, they do in fact suck big donkey deek. It is common knowledge. I must admit that I already knew that though so I will search for one of the other topics you suggested. Thanks!

After reading through all of those threads, I realize that my EVO has all of the symptoms of the single cylinder misfire (which is the P0302 code I have). I noticed that it was way down on power lately but I kept blaming it on the heat (it has been in the upper 90's). Someone noted that the ECU pulls lots of timing when it detects a misfire, even before it sets the SES light on. I am going to take it to my Mitsu dealership and see what they say. I sure hope they can fix it. I am not really sure what the fix for this is, maybe replace that one injector? I have reset the ECU several times but the same code comes right back on after maybe 100 miles. Sucks...

It does indeed suck!

I just got off the phone with Veracom Mitsubishi. The service advisor I have been working with said I need to bring it in (again!) for them to diagnose it. Last time there was a 'glitch' with my exhaust configuration and I ended up paying for the diagnosis time. This time, however, I have fixed said glitch and they will again go with the diag tools to check out what's causing the issue. I guess the plan is to check things out in conjunction with talking to Mitsu tech line, to try and get it taken care of.

My confidence in this proposed solution is 0% so I am going to go ahead and place the call to Mitsu to start the buyback process this weekend. Unless a miracle occurs on Monday, I guess I'll have to choose between a new Evo or 95% of my money back. =/

PLEASE do a search dude, or just scroll up for links. This thread is not about the p0300 issue, it's about the FIXING, or lack thereof, of said issue.

You really should make an attempt to figure out the answer yourself by searching.

**edited** People who want to talk about finding fixes for other error codes should be starting new threads. The reflash made available by Mitsubishi is only meant to deal with the P0300 error.

P0300=Multiple/random cylinder misfire.
P0301= Cylinder #1 misfire.
P0302= Cylinder #2 misfire.
P0303= Cylinder #3 misfire.
P0304= Cylinder #4 misfire.

I have the P0302 code. I am curious if anybody has gotten this fixed from mitsubishi. I want to know how they fixed it. New injector? Changed spark plugs? What is the fix for the single cylinder misfire? Anybody?
