Is anyone aware of any significant differences between the US Market Evo8 head and the EVO7 head, there's not alot of info out there comparing the two.

 

I guess that the EVO 7 JDM has 5hp more at top end, 7lbs more of torque and weights 3042 lbs. Inside Motor trend magazine the EVO 7 JDM went 4.3 and 13.1 and the US Evo 8 4.6 13.2

 

Sorry I didn`t see that you post HEAD differences, I don`t know anything about the head dimensions and desing.

 

I have a 7 and my race head is from an 8, same head.

 

Okie thanks.. I wanted to be certain that they were close enough to have a stage 4 head or better built up on it for my 8..

 

I believe the springs and retainers are different on the 8 head but you are probably altering that anyway.

Yep, actually I was planning on giving you guys a call in a week or two to see what kind of buildup can be done on it (and how much shipping is to get the core there) since I'm still weighing out the different available products.. Of course, I've run out of money for the month so mods have to wait another few weeks.
