Well, I guess this was just some type of preliminary hearing and everything was set for January 10th. I was in a good mood walking into court thinking that all this is going to be over with in a few short minutes, nope I have to go back again. I was thinking to myself whatever happened to a speedy trial, not one that has been dragging out for 3-4 months? Sorry for the bad news people.

What did the big bad prosecutor say to have the judge put the trial off for another date?

What was said in court?

Good luck man! I wish I cold be there, so that the minute they announce your innocence I can hunt down the original judge and cop and slap them both silly with a dead fish or something...

This is an appeals case and will be in front of an actual judge. The first time I went for an appeals last month it was a friggin joke. But on the bright side about 2 weeks ago I was at a co-workers house and his brother in law was the sergeant that was on duty. To say the least he is a rightous cop and heard about the ticket. He will be there with me, and my lawyer. He called it a "State Patrol" ticket. There was a post a few days ago with the same thing just in northern WI. I guess this is common for WI State patrol to give "these" kinds of tickets. Now that I have a cop from the same city on my side, I have no reason to believe that I will finally walk away from this.

Blain, will you be at the cookout next Sat? Check the Regional forums.

even if he bought the car in his state and the law changed after he bought it the law cannot be enforced upon something that was perfectly legal at the time of sale and was implimented from factory..... kinda like classic cars and there exeption from the smog laws

someone correct me if im wrong
