This is suprising? This is the way things have become over the past decade. There is so much work to do to undo the damage capitalism is doing. Government is nothing but another business in this capitalist machine. They are out for there own profit.

Thats a pretty subjective statement and I doubt what this thread needs is a heated political debate. This can be easily seen as the exact opposite of what you say so lets keep this to suggestions on what this poor guy can do.

Sorry, my opnion is it's bigger problem than this one incident. I'd suggest a solution to look at the bigger problem this symptom is from. That's the last post from me here. Good Luck!

Honestly, this the type of crap you would see on "The Smoking Gun". I would definitely call local newstations to get your story heard. Draw as much attention to this as you can. Hopefully, the public will see how idiotic the judge was.

fight this or be prepared to get walked over for as long as you own your evo.

Where was my liberty in this case? I got the long shaft stuck you know where, without lube. Police ARE NOT law-enforcers, they are money collectors for the city. I could go on and on about his all day and I won't. just want to hear from all of you out there.

Wow, that's mind boggling. Seriously fight this, there is NO way a judge should be able to find you guilty for something that you had no control of. If it was an aftermarket wing I could see maybe - but you had no hand in putting on or designing the wing, and therefore the judge should be ticketing Mitsu, not you. Definitely fight - do everything you can. Get written statements from the manager at the dealer AND corporate Mitsu. Find the DOT approval for the Evo, anything you can do.

If worse comes to worse - say that you want a jury trial, then say that the jury was biased based on age, sex, race, etc. Then repeat as necessary, hehe. My friend has had a ticket in the system for three years and they finally threw it out because they didn't want to call a jury for a 15 over ticket, hehe.

Best of luck, and please keep us updated or let us know if anyone can do anything to help. F*CK the bullsh*t, fight the system!!

I agree. The law says if you have a passenger side mirror then you don't even need to have a rear view mirror. Were you missing your passenger side mirror?

Media attention is an excellent solution -- and cost effective. The media loves this sort of thing as the public really pays attention when they hear about someone getting screwed by the government. Case in point, the reaction you are getting on EvoM.

Good luck

For those in search of the original thread, here it is: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=97042

Anyway, that is total BS!!

How old was the judge? I have been in court with some real A-hole judges in my day, most of them are older with gray hair and they could give 2 ****s what you have to say. They would always take the cops word over mine, regardless of the situation. As a result, I have lost faith in this country's court system. It's all about who you know or how deep your pockets are.

I agree with most of what the guys here are saying, hire a lawyer, contact Mitsubishi Corporate. I think your case was profiling both on the part of the police and the judge. They took one look at your car and branded you guilty. If you really wanted to take it a step farther, in your case you could probably sue the state or local government. It just depends on how much time and money you want to give up to pursue the matter.

If you decide to fight it, good luck!

You've got to fight them, and make them pay your legal fees.
