what dealership is this? are talking about "new" 06 MR's? because as far as I know most inventory are the "GSR" versions not the MR-they are sold out!

 

All I have to say is get what you can afford! I had a new 03' before the 06'MR and I liked both cars. I will say that my MR rides and shifts ten times better than my 03' did. The tight 6 speed makes the daily commutes a blast! I think it was worth it for me in every sense.

 

Last time I went, Beaverton Mitsubishi still had a bunch of "New" '06 MRs sitting there from last year (5 or 6). Not used, just left over. Looking at their inventory online, it only lists 2 MRs left (both silver) but it might not reflect their actual inventory. If you are interested I can drive by and give a full report.

 

I have a 05 non Mr and I wish I would of got the 6speed

 

There are still some new MR's left if you really look.The dealers are charging about $36,500-$38,000.Thats before all the tax and stuff.The MR is totally worth it!

 

I would hope you would beat a stock MR with 8k in mods. If not I would have to cut you cause that would be pathetic.

I traded my 03 RR Evo 8 for a 06 Evo 9 MR SE and I love it. The MIVEC is SEXY BACK I could actually feel the low end torque compared to my last evo. I also think the 9 looks way more sex. If I could go back I would still buy the MR but I would have to say that the SE would be tempting cause its a MR with a 5speed pretty much wich is GG. But I love my MR guess i paid couple more grand for the badges LOL. You can always get MR badges for your car but it will never be a TRUE MR.

 

The interior is different in the MR ? Just talking about the badging right?

 

in my opinion the MR is great for people who want to stay mostly stock.. for everyone else its not worth the money.

See its people like this who kinda make me angry. Stay mostly stock why just cause its a MR? Whats a MR gotta do with keeping your car mostly stock... MR is capable of same hp and time numbers as any other evo. Just cause you got a MR doesnt mean u gotta STRIP the interior and what not. I mean ya it has a 6 speed wich cant handle HUGE HUGE hp , and neither can the 5 speed. So either way your gonna have to rebuild the 5 speed or get a 5peed for the MR. SHEP FTW

MR is better because dealers in California Bay Area say that MR has 80hp more than regular. Awesome.

Well they did also say that Evo is 400hp. So that makes MR 480hp. Also, it was a

But I picked the GSR cuz I fell in love with the EB color. I drove a MR before and the shifting is definately waaaaaaay better, like, hot knife through butter. GSR shifts, like, a blunt knife through a brick.
Its your money, get either one. You are still getting an Evo. I have the GSR and I drive it with a big fat smirk on my face, if I had the MR, I would still drive it with a bit fat smirk on my face.

 

Whats different about the interior if you dont mind me asking

 

IMO and others too, ACD takes the skill/fun out of driving and makes any joe shcmoe into a pro wrc rally driver.
BTW i drive a 04 EVO RS they have better quarter mile times than the straight8 and the MR
