bad gas?

i think i got bad gas at this hole in the wall gas station. the only reason i got gas there to begin with was i was running on fumes and it was the only thing around. any ways the car has way less power like it wont boost and if i hit the gas from idle with the car out of gear it sounds like valve train noise. luckly i only put 4 galons in so what should i do? run the rest of it out and fill the car with good gas? or fill the car right now leaving the 2 galons or so of the bad stuff hoping the good will make up for it. would octain booster help? help me please i dont want to gernade my motor

I'd fill up on good gas with a good octane booster... Don't wait to run that crap gas through your motor... ASAP!!!

Gas that goes in is rarely bad. Gas at little crappy gas stations is often bad because of the condition of their underground tanks, and the fact that it sits there longer due to lack of throughput. The best thing to do would be to drain your tank, but if you don't want to do that the next best thing is probably to fill it up with good premium. You might possibly add something like STP water remover, but make sure nothing you put in your tank has MTBE. Most octane boosters like other people were suggesting contain MTBE which has been known to screw up Evo motors, especially the injectors and O2 sensors.

Don't siphon gas with your mouth. Get a liquid pump from autozone or something, they aren't that expensive.

careful if you use a liquid pump like the ones that attach to a drill, those can get really hot and most have a warning on them that advises you not to use them with flammable liquids- i.e. GASOLINE.

i guess you should be careful if you're gonna siphon it with your mouth too...

I doubt the bad gas is solved by octane booster.

I would say just drain it out and fill it with pre pumped gas in a red container.

If you go lean or get water in your gas, you're screwed.

Or you could run it, if it blows up, you could sue the gas company that sold it to ya.
