[QUOTE=moto17]List of things that went wrong on Abner’s car: Thumbnails attached
These ones were wrong with mine also..

• Bottom cross member bar (3bolt) - missing bar was never installed on my car.

• Turbo oil supply bracket – bolt loose
• Upper and lower timing belt covers - missing

• Right inner wheel well plastic shield – missing
• Rubber plug for tranny/TC casing – missing
• Fuel pressure solenoid – black plastic nipple broken, bypassed

Same with mine along with;

wheel wells (both sides)
Accs belt pully loose (ended up almost tearing the belt off.
gages not working along with my ANVC1 navigation
Door locks did not work-he did fix this
Mini battery missing bracket(now have trunk kit)
clips on almost all of my injectors missing or broken

Cut wires (nick wanted me to get a new harness, he is the one who cut them)
timing pulled 13 deg at idle,

Missfires under normal boost

razor droped in engine bay and never picke up-I guess he used that to cut the wires but forgot to get rid of the razor- also found a few bolts in the engine bay-

My defi controller was hanging off of where it was mounted-he would not have fixed it if I did not ***** about it.

Never got the revolver cams - he still denys it today even though he signed the reciept saying he owed them to me. Chris's father was standing right there when I paid him in full for these items...

Exhaust manifold was warped TT had to machine the mani and re-install it, was leaking really bad...

My HG went -with in 1k not taken over 6.8k (except for the dyno runs atTT) 20psi- well took it to Alderman racing to get resurfaced due to poor resurface job by Nick- was told this by Alderman (they have been in Biz for over 25 yrs)

I'am done for now more to add later...

MD

62-1 turbo which lasted 500 miles under 10psi (was on wastegate pressure by Nick) was used on the dyno for 15 minutes apparently
Alky kit trunk mount, and a final tune I never got or wanted to get....

i am sure there is more ...

Chris,

I know it sucks now, but on average the successful business owner has failed twice before they succeed. Take this experience to heart and carry on. If you treat people with honesty and dignity you will succeed.

I don't know you, just giving you a little advice from a old guy

When he came to az to tune abner and all of us.....my car was first off making over 400whp and when the final tune came out i was left with 335whp......it was then that i realized nick had no idea what he was doing when tuning. He was also very unprofessional he would do one dyno pull go out and have a smoke do another pull go out and have a smoke and bs with everyone was like come on i am paying for dyno time here.... the only one that treated me nice that entire time was Chris... Chris i stand behind you and i hope you take my PM into serious consideration. Chris calmed me down when i flipped out over losing that much power....i felt it was done on purpose becuz nick was talking **** to me due to a dynoflash sticker i had on my car... telling me that he wouldnt tune a car with a dynoflash sticker on it. personally i love als work and i told nick that unless he tuned my car damn well that i wouldnt switch...well he didnt. he messed with my timing so much that my car wouldnt hit more than 20psi for some reason... that is the truth and everyone there that dyno day knows it also all of the things that happened to abner were very true being that we all had to stand up for him being his good friends........US AZ PPL STICK TOGETHER

thats my .02

I dont know if people know about this but Nick blew up my old car, my 04 silver 8 ssl. I bought an aem ems 1313 without the uego and had it installed and tuned by nick when i was a customer. This was shortly after Bom's Evo got tuned. Nick told me the car wasnt done when I went to pick it up and it was there all day. I went back plenty of times to get my car tuned and it was never finished. Well I never really beat on my car with launching it but everytime I went there my clutch started to go slowly. Well one day I picked my car up and driving it and kept going back cause I liked hanging out there and helping and spending time with JOE, MITCH AND NICK. I was cool with all of them and they used to tell me of there frustrations about not getting paid and trust me I found out all about that when I wasnt paid....
Well one day I was getting on my car and my friend Dan was driving. Not anymore than people beat on there cars full boost at 21 psi shifting through 3 gears and POP!!!!

When I started to rev my car it sounded like a SUBY like rumbling and backfiring I guess. I called nick and he told me to call MITCH. I called him and he said "No problem bud, ill wait for you till you get here" Nick wasnt even concerned!!! I went to the shop and mitch was waiting and did a compression test. It was horrible and cylinder #1 was fu**ed...
We looked into the cylinder the next day and the piston was broken in half and along the ends.
Nick said he would take care of me and fix my car with a stock brand new piston. He said I would have to pay to machine my block and buy a head gasket ( he said i should get a HKS 1.2 mil head gasket) I agreed and paid... My car sat there and sat there. Thats why I can relate and I know how the customers felt .. Well I talked to him on a Friday and he said he was sending the block to get machined. Suddenly the next day or Sunday the car was done.. I went there and the car was running fine.
He told me of how he wanted to sponsor my car with Ecutek. he said the sponsorship was going to be between me or Bom's Evo. I asked him what was involved and he said I would have to give him my AEM EMS in exchange for an Ecutek Flash and I would be sponsored by them. He said My car and the shop would be in a magazine and I got a little excited. So I did the Exchange and the after sponsoring never happend. The whole Joe and Mitch situation happened in which I didnt know the whole story. The landlord kicked him out of the moorestown shop and Joe and Mitch left (they werent FIRED) We moved everything to the other shop right next to the Moorestown shop, and after everything was there, he said he wouldnt be able to afford it. We moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvannia. I was just an employee still told that I could trust him and dont go to UTI. He stated he would teach me how to tune!!! He always claimed he was broke but he paid for the dyno to move to Philly and we had the ugliest shop known to man. Nick then wanted to get into business with me and told me we could be the best and he needed my help, also I was the only one he could trust. I told my dad about it and he asked if I were sure and I Said yes. I dont know why but let me tell you if you know him, you know he can talk. So I asked my dad to come down and meet nick and see what he thought.
My father came down and got along with Nick and then Nick was acting really nice toward me and I thought wow this could be it. I was always the calm one and Nick could come to me about anything. My dad and Nick discussed how we could build this business and Nick asked for help with my dad helping him learn business. He then begged my father to take care of the phone calls and take care of the front of the shop. During this whole thing I had to pick up Nick every morning cause he didnt have a car...
My dad took $25,000 out of my personal savings account that was supposed to be used for college education, in which my dad was saving for me. Nick needed that money to catch up on dyno payments and pay his rent. he put that money in his sole Proprietorship account. He also used this money to take care of the customers that he claimed Mitch dicked over. Customers like Jesse with the Eclipse, Joe's friend with the newer eclipse, some Z customers that he claimed. Dan's money for AEM and plenty of others. As well as catching himself up with his car payments that were late.. He also payed for ecutek licenses and for more personal stuff. I think he also paid for some parts for his POS with that money. We got mikey's car there and Joe's old eclipse in there that werent touched in a long time. He also blamed a robbery on Mitch about Joes white 1st gen eclipse. We had no heat in the shop and froze. Nick was so interested and obsessed in becoming the First one 2 tune a car using ecutek that he was trying everything to get one. He then asked me and begged me that he wanted me to trade my car in for an Evo 9. We spent all day trying to get a good trade in value for mine and finally got a good deal $24,500 for mine. We got the 06 Graphite Grey Evo 9 MR..
Now I just want to inform that before this I wanted my Evo out of my moms name and In my own cause we had a big fight. So Nick came with me to convince my mom to let the car be in my name and I would take all responsiblilities. After he convinced he see signed it and said there you go. We left and he then started trying to convince me to put it under Nick Karanikas and Associates. This is his other business name he uses. He kept saying we were going to go into business and we would get awesome car insurance and good business rates. I wasnt really wanting to do that but he kept egging it on. so when we got there he pressured me into putting it in the business name and I did it. It was the biggest mistake of my life. He said I could trust him and that when we created the Precision Dyno Tuning LLC we would switch it over.
Alright back to the Evo 9 deal. So the car again went into the Business name and I gave them a check for $5,000 that came out of my account and I have the reciept. So the trade in value was $ 24,500 + my $5,000 so I had $29,500 in the new car and the car was $38,000 and change.. I financed the rest and the payments are paid by me in my name i pay the payments. He is also claiming that I owe him money when I paid for all the payments.
Then came the huge success of us. We were the first to tune the Evolution 9's in the country. The car made a lot of power on the dyno (which is nicks and joes.) Business was really good and we were tuning 9's and plenty of them. He was at that time bashing all of the other shops because he was the only one with the software for the 9's for a short while. All the customers that came to the shop know of his **** talking of turbotrix and Al. So we were doing great amounts of business and Mikey's car still wasnt being worked on and Joes was barley touched. We then heard News about another shop in Levittown, PA. The great shop and our 3rd move and 4th location. We went there and talked to the owner of the building and planned on doing oil changes and work between us. We moved everything over and the shop was a big improvement. Well we got comfortable and still tuning. We started doing less tuning and more Engine building. PD stroker kits hit the market. We used Wiseco pistons, skat rods and 2.3 liter cranks. You know where the cranks were coming from. Well we ordered a whole lot of eclipse blocks and nick was taking the cranks out of there. Our billet cranks came from someplace I had no info on.
We were still tuning less and less. All of Nicks bill were payed from my father including rent, his cell phones, his car payments, car insurance and his own paycheck. He always complained he never had any money. He was getting taken car of. He told my dad that my 9 should be built before his Evo 8 that EVENTUALLY beat the record (hahaha) So we built my 9
if you look under the treads on Precisions Forum you will see the mods on my car and most likely have heard about it. We put C16 with Alcohol injection witha controller. the kit is made by coolingmist. The car made awesome power and didnt even get to finish it before the car was done. We went to Englishtown and raced. We hit an 12.2 spinning 1st 2nd and 3rd and blew a head gasket. Took the car apart and Melted and chipped the pistons, so they had to be replaced and the block had to be machined. It looked like nick was struggling with putting the rings on the Pistons and put it together himself. The car was built and started manipulating the sampling rate on the MASS Air flow sensor and made a whole lot more power and torque on low boost. I started getting excited. We went to Atco and first run blew the clutch up on the first launch. Nick said the Exedy twin disc would hold, it didnt. We put the Exedy Triple disc carbon clutch in there and went back to ATCO. We then beat the record running an 11.2 twice and left. We then were ready for Englishtown. We went there meeting Fuzion Motorsports with Rich. He came with the Evo 9 we built with a 2.3 and a stock turbo. Fuzions car went down and we did 2. The head lifted off the block. Now while the car was tuned on the dyno for a long time and driven a couple of times on the street. The headstuds were torqued to 75 ftlbs. At the track nick demanded the headstuds be retorqued to 85 ftlbs (it was cold) and I did so telling him I didnt like the Idea. The cars head lifted and when we took it apart the next day GUESS WHAT!! Pistons again. This was done on April 3rd when we took the car apart and Nick told me to leave. I told him to stop treating me like **** and get out of my face (he had napolean syndrome again) He told me he was done. I said you cant do this and he said he was. I told him he better pay back my dad and he said he wasn't. I told him I was taking the car and he didnt care. So i had it towed and got out of there with all of my belongings. The next day he went to the bank and took half of the rest of the money in the bank. We took the other half and closed the account. Since then he has called me threatening me and has told people i scammed him out of $60,000. How when he never had money. And everyone knows it 2. he tried one night 2 get my car with a lot of people and went and harrassed my mom and she filed a complaint at the police station. I also filed a complaint when he came to my house and follow my gf and harrassed me.

Who knows what will happen now

I dont want him having anything to do with my car and money paid back..

I really feel for you and your Dad

I think you are a very decent and well intentioned young man and I hope this tragic episode does not deter you from pursuing your automotive dreams

This kind of financial loss is diffilult to comprehend and will have a profound effect upon your family, however, if you can try and learn from this experience as no matter what happens you can take something posiotive from it

I find your story and Mitch's stories totally shocking and I sincerely hope that they are not swept back under the delete button

BTW - can you elaberate the relationship between Nick # 1 and Nick #2 which really confused me

PS when you have your car rebuilt I will teach you how to tune it yourself with the ecutek softwear, you went through enough IMHO
