So what your posting is that Mitsubishi warranty covers paint chipping from the Brembo calibers? I need to know because my right rear Brembo caliber has started to chip paint.

if your still under your bumper to bumper warranty, bring it to the dealership, havem take pictures of the caliper, and send it off to their district rep.

so long as it is from peeling due to contamination, they should be covered. If it's because you changed your brakes and damaged them with tools...your prob.

(Warranty) Difference between Evo VIII and IX CF spoiler

While having my rotor issue investigated at the dealership (technician overtightened lugs, being replaced under warranty), I brought up that the coating on my 2005 MR's spoiler is failing in a few locations. Several spots that just look worn through, despite the rest of the coating looking intact. I mentioned it in passing, and that was that. Didn't expect anything to occur

Today I received a call that they're willing to replace the spoiler under warranty since it's a known issue.

I have the choice of an Evo VIII spoiler, or an Evo IX spoiler. I know the IX has the gurney flap, but if I recall correctly, that's an "option".

My question: Are there any structural or other major physical differences between the Evo VIII and Evo IX carbon fiber spoiler? I'm probably just going to get the VIII one regardless, but I'm curious as to any other changes that were made. Thanks.
