My wing is fading also. I called mitsubishi and they ordered me a wing. I have a 04 and they told me that the 03-04 wings are backed up. So they order me an evo 9 wing. Ive been waiting 3 weeks so far though.

Keep in mind that your new 9 wing will have plastic sides and not be full carbon fiber like your 8's.

So what's the deal with the rust? I am seeing a little spot near the base of the spoiler on my trunk.
I was thinking that CF trunk is due one of these days... but if the dealer can/will warranty it, then I'd be all happy about it.

Try calling Mitsu Corp Office and kiss there *** a bit about how much you enjoy your car and that buying another mitsu car is very likely...maybe they'll let it slide?!???

Good Luck. Avondale Mitsubishi covered mine under warranty. I have a red Evo and they ordered a red one in MARCH! They got it in this week, opened the box and it was white.
They are painting it to match but Ive been waiting since March for a spoiler. At this point I dont care if its a IX or an VIII as long as I get a clean and glossy painted cf spoiler. Heck they can just give me the white one.

I waited for mine for months. Long story short: I called corprate they told me it would be at the dealer in a week wing arrives and its white as well they paid a local shop to paint it. The dealer surface scratches the hek out of my trunk putting it on but at least the CF wing is nice now
Man I want to take my car for a warranty claim!
Nothing is wrong with my ride, but tell me that it wouldn't be hilarious, especially to get it on video.
Walk in and be like "Something's wrong with the idle" and video tape the Tech's face as he pops the hood hah!
Anyone else ever think of doing this? Should I be evil and go to the dealer and have someone video tape me? =)
