Warranty Issues <Mega Merge>
If I had a car that was giving me continued issues, and I had done nothing to it that would cause such issues, then I personally would get all my service records, and lawyer up. I know Florida has whole legal firms dedicated just to Lemon/Crap car lawsuits, and I'm sure they'd love to get their hands on soemthing like this.
This is one of the reasons that I'm leary of purchasing an Evo. I don't want my warranty denied because I looked at the car funny, or maybe drove it a little harder than normal on the street.
Oh well....

Seat Repaired, Other Repairs Won through Argument
Since the thread has recently been resurrected, I don't feel like I'm at fault for bumping it from the grave...
I'm 145 lbs. and I was buckled up, reaching for something on the back seat when my seatback went "pop." The crack was pretty huge. The dealership did repair this under warranty, though it took them a very long time. And the part cost more than a whole new seat would have been had I moved up to a nicer Recaro/Sparco/Bride/etc.
I haven't had trouble with the brakes peeling, nor with the wing spotting. But I believe those of you who say these things happened and weren't your fault.
The dealership in my area has claimed more than once that problems with the car were the result of my driving at excessive speed, when that was not the case. I think they finally understand, by the way, that racing your car doesn't permanently void your warranty, but I had to deal with that mentality for a while, too.

Mitsu denied my wing warranty claim
I got the typical 03 Evo 8 wing clearcoat peeling. My car only has 25,000 miles but was apparently a month and a half out of warranty when I brought it to Colonial Mitsubishi in Charlottesville, VA. The service guy called Mitsu and they said they wouldn't do it. I'm thinking about calling up Mitsu Corporate and *****ing at them, do you think this will help at all? The car IS a month and half out of warranty but it only has 25,000 miles like I said, plus the clearcoat was peeling before it was out of warranty.
Is it possible for me to get anything done or am I **** out of luck?

Somebody on the boards is fixing them for people, I dunno if he still is or not... He had pics of his that he re-cleared and it turned out really nice. hes out of Florida I think? It was in the show and shine forum, do a search in there and you should find the thread about it.....

The whole thing is that the warranty is expired...you had to take it before the warranty expired...like travman says there is a dude on here that fixes them...search around, you'll find the thread...Good luck...
Anti corrosion and fading clearcoat is no where near the same. 03 = 3yr 36K....... Listen even if its 1 day past the 3 year mark, you have NO CASE. Its out of warranty, and if it was fading prior to you should have took it in then. Not waited then expect them to honor your warranty that is now expired.
