I am running what AMS recommends which is the redline lightweight shockproof .
The car had a tiny grind in second sometimes and also in 3rd but after putting in the redline it improved my shifting smoothness alot .

Throw some BGII in your transmission, atleast for a last resort before you go dump money into a new transmission?.....I never heard of using straight shockproof in the transmission? I didnt think it had all the lubrication properties needed for the syncros? Reason why dsms use 2 qts of BG + 1 qt. of shockproof.. Even then can make the transmission somewhat notchy from what I heard....

I just changed my fluids and used BGII and it made my transmission smoother than with the stock mitsu fluids, my gears felt notchy but after the BG its smooth as butter

For those who disbelieve warranty...version: Paint

Car is getting repainted under warranty... thats right nothing out of pocket... i didn't even have to argue... the body shop of the dealership sent some pics to mitsu and they came back approved... so if your 03 evo and is under warranty... i would try getting it covered... i know of 2 already that are repainted...
