if you had known me and seen my car... you would see my drivers fender was clearcoated (accident 3 months after purchase) and the rest of the car and then understand how possible it is

They DO have clear its just a single stage. The clear is mixed with the paint and done in the same stage of painting...I had a RR 03 also and the paint was fading, paint would show on the rag when i waxed it

IT was cleared thats just single stage paint. Hopefully this time you get Base coat, Clear Coat. And if I was you just pay the extra time to have them paint your other parts out of pocket, it would look like a brand new car.

Wait... you are getting your car repainted because there wasn't "any clear coat" on the car?? So you went in to the dealership and said you didn't have any clear, then they said okie dokie you get a new paint job??

no... i went to the dealer and said look... here is my fender that was repainted by your own mitsu bodyshop (had separate clear coat on it) and here is the rest of the car... PINK

and they said ok... let me take some pictures and ill get back to you in 2 days (ftw another RR 03 was repainted last month for the same exact problem)

Its pretty simple as long as your w/in 3/36 warranty the paint should be covered

and the rest of my body parts were recently painted (3 months ago) so i dont think a repaint is necessary and they told me they will blend it for me

My car has some fading going on, but most of all the swirls are absurd in it. You can tell from far away how swirly the paint is. Hopefully I can get this covered. I'll let you guys know of the outcome when I'm able to get to the dealer.

Ok with paint work that fresh you do not need to get them done, plus when they blend it will get fresh clear on them anyhoo. Before I became a painter and was still in highschool I had an 92 S10 that I had warrantied for paint work, the very same problems you all are having on RR, the hardcore OXIDATION. I am somewhat someprised that more of you with these problems are not getting them fixed, or rather that mitsu is throwing the coldshoulder when it comes to obvious paint failure. Later all
